New Additions and Improvements

As announced in a previous update, balance adjustments have been made to several classes.
Today's update addresses the gaps in monster zone entry timing caused by differences in AP (Total Stat) during PvE balancing, and also improves classes that were lacking in survivability or damage following changes to monster zone environments.
Further class changes for the current PvE and PvP environments will be announced through the Global Lab as soon as they are ready.

Grapple
Previously, when struck by a Grapple skill with a long animation, you could not leave that location until the opponent's skill animation had fully finished, even if you used Emergency Escape.
With this update, using Emergency Escape will immediately free you from the location, even during the Grapple animation. Accordingly, if the target uses Emergency Escape, the Grapple skill will immediately transition to its finishing motion and end.
In addition, to reduce cases where the target was not actually held despite a successful Grapple, we have added a slight delay before a Grapple connects into its follow-up attack motion. (The lead-in time for attempting a Grapple remains the same.) The duration of the Defensive Effects applied on a successful Grapple remains unchanged. We expect this adjustment to alleviate the issue.
We will continue addressing inconveniences so Adventurers can fully enjoy the PvP experience.
  • Fixed the issue where using Emergency Escape while grappled could fail to break the Grapple and return you to the grappled position.
  • Changed so that if the grappled target dies or uses Emergency Escape after a successful Grapple, the Grapple ends with a finishing motion instead of a Grapple failure motion.
    • This finishing motion does not apply the damage or CC effects normally applied upon a successful Grapple.
    • However, damage and effects from additional attack motions are still applied regardless of which motion applies the Grapple's CC effect. (e.g. Wukong's Gotcha!, Drakania's Impale)
  • Mitigated the issue where, after a successful Grapple, the grappled target could occasionally use skills or become ungrappled.
    • To address this, a brief delay has been added between a successful Grapple and the follow-up attack. However, the timing at which Defensive Effects apply upon a successful Grapple remains unchanged.

Main Weapon
Rock Smash
  • Fixed the issue where a grappled target could occasionally be placed behind the character when dashing while carrying them or slamming them down after a jump.
  • Changed the jump used to slam down a grappled target so that it is no longer affected by Jump Height.

Punishment
  • Changed the character to move slightly toward the grappled target in line with the attack animation after a successful grapple.

Seraph
Seraph gains the Magnus skill "Feinting Cleave" in this update, addressing how difficult it was to add variety to a kit built around straight-line forward movement skills. You can use it to reposition and set up CC in combat, or as a way to continue linked skills from the rear via Unshakable Will.
Meanwhile, Seraph's PvE skill damage in normal state has been reduced to better align her damage with other classes. At the same time, some Sacramentum skills have been buffed so that total damage in the Sacramentum state remains the same as before.

New Guild League Season

Thank you to all the guilds and Adventurers who have been waiting for the start of the Guild League regular season. In preparation for this season, we analyzed participation data from multiple angles and made several improvements based on our findings.
As Adventurers' gear specs and combat mastery have leveled up across the board and guild strategies have grown more sophisticated, the flow of battle has changed significantly. In one-sided matches, the leading guild would quickly reach 1,000 points and secure victory. In closely contested matches, however, both sides often struggled to reach 1,000 points, with the outcome decided only after the full 20-minute match duration.
To increase the overall pace of Guild League and deliver more action-packed matches, we have reduced the maximum match duration from 20 minutes to 12 minutes and changed the victory conditions from 1,000 points to 600 points. We have also shortened the match cycle from 30 minutes to 20 minutes, allowing guilds to enter their next match sooner. As match duration and participation cycles have been shortened, rewards have also been adjusted to reflect the new playtime.
We hope you enjoy even more exciting matches with your guild members in this faster-paced Guild League.
  • Started a new regular season of Guild League.

Cheongsa Island, Land of the Morning Light

"Cheongsa Island," newly revealed as the fog lifted from the seas of the Land of the Morning Light, has been added.
Cheongsa Island is a village led by Hyunyong's Chorong Merchants and a historic place that carries on the legacy of once-glorious shipbuilding craftsmanship. Artisans with extensive knowledge of ships still reside there, and their expertise in Panokseon is second to none.
With the help of these Artisans, you can craft Cheongun, the top-tier yellow-grade Panokseon equipment. Experience the exceptional craftsmanship of Cheongsa Island and bring your Panokseon to new heights.

Lyngbakr Habitat

After a fierce struggle for territory in the rough seas, Lyngbakr has driven out the Saltwater Crocodiles and claimed a new area for itself.
Lyngbakr, a new sea monster bringing fresh tension to the Great Ocean, is distinguished by its massive horn and the pack of Lyngburks that accompany it. While combat in the Great Ocean has previously focused on overpowering a single monster or defeating simple groups of enemies, this encounter is designed around how you handle the Lyngburks escorting Lyngbakr.
As this battle requires a greater degree of strategy, it has been designed to offer a challenging encounter for veteran captains. As a fitting reward, Lyngbakr's Horn, obtained by defeating Lyngbakr, can be exchanged for yellow-grade ship equipment materials.
We look forward to seeing captains cut through the raging waves and break Lyngbakr's giant horn.
  • Added a new Great Ocean monster zone, the Lyngbakr Habitat.
    • The Lyngbakrs rose dominant over the Saltwater Crocodiles and drove them out of the region.

New Carrack and Panokseon Equipment

We are pleased to introduce Falasi and Cheongun, the top-tier yellow-grade ship equipment that many captains have long awaited.
Blue-grade equipment has served as a reliable foundation for captains across the Great Ocean, from sea monster subjugation to barter. However, the journey from crafting to enhancement has required considerable time and dedication.
With this in mind, the new yellow-grade equipment has been designed to ensure that the valuable achievements and effort captains have accumulated at sea naturally carry over into the next stage of growth.
We hope Falasi and Cheongun will once again give you the satisfaction of making your ship even stronger, and allow your reputation to grow across the vast Great Ocean and its fierce battlefields.

Graphics Update

Here is an update on FSR 3.1 and DirectX 12, which many of you have been waiting for.
We had been developing these with the goal of applying them within August. However, given the wide variety of PC environments used by our Adventurers and the possibility of instability in certain configurations, we are conducting more careful, in-depth testing.
We are eager to bring you an improved environment as soon as possible, but we believe it should only be delivered once it is stable and polished enough to satisfy everyone who uses it, so the schedule has been delayed somewhat. Accordingly, we will prioritize FSR 3.1 and DirectX 12, followed by FSR 4.1 and DLSS.
We will share the schedule for these updates once we have reviewed the current state of development. We understand this may be disappointing news for Adventurers who have been waiting in anticipation. We will continue doing our utmost until the very end to deliver a stable, polished update.
