A great Adventurer has gathered the Embers of Ynix and restored its power.
We present an interview and a closer look at the magnificent Godslayer's Armor Set, worn by the master of the god-consuming flame.

Hello! First, could you please introduce yourself?
💬 A. Hey, my in-game name is ChaosSiIenze. I’ve been playing Black Desert for 8 years, and I’ve been hardcapped for the last 4 years. Some people might also recognize me as the first player globally to hit Double DEC Sovereign Weapons on day one of their release.

How does it feel to be the first to complete the Godslayer's Armor Set?
💬 A. Honestly, it feels equal parts exhausting and incredibly rewarding! When you’re grinding for hundreds of hours, your brain starts converting everything into Embers per hour. Crossing that final finish line and unlocking the full set before anyone else in the world is an amazing feeling—and my hands are definitely ready for a break!

Which piece did you craft first, and which did you craft last?
💬 A. I crafted the Armor piece first and Helmet was the last piece.

Since the required materials vary across different monster zones, the completion order might differ from Adventurer to Adventurer.

When you started gathering crafting materials, did you expect to be the very first person to finish it?
💬 A. Honestly, no. After the first week of grinding in Hermesia and Magaia, I didn't even think it was feasible to finish the whole set in under six months. Because of that, I shifted my focus toward upgrading my Ekleta accessories instead. But I was "kinda" boosted and reached 418 AP first globally, it opened up the Event Horizon spot for me.
The drop rate for Embers there was huge, which completely changed the timeline and put the world-first back on the table.

How do you think you will feel when the second crafter appears?
💬 A. I’ll give them a massive congratulations! Anyone who completes this set knows firsthand how much time, dedication, and focus it takes to collect 400 Embers of Ynix across all those high-end spots. I’ll be excited to welcome them to the club and take some cool group screenshots together.

Which piece of Godslayer's Armor is your favorite?
💬 A. Definitely the Armor piece. I’ve always been a big fan of capes, and the fiery effect on this one easily makes it the best-looking cape in the entire game.

You are currently wearing Godslayer's Armor in its default colors. Do you plan to dye it in the future? If so, what color scheme would you like to try?
💬 A. Either Black/Gold or Black/Red.

You look even more imposing with the weapon equipped. Could you show us one of its attack animations?

Who was the first person you shared the news with after completing the Godslayer's Armor?
💬 A. I think I shared it with a BDO streamer Choice first.

Was there a special reason you broke the news to him first?
💬 A. He was a huge source of motivation for me to sink in the crazy hours needed to become the first Edana of Event Horizon. We were neck-and-neck in terms of progression for the new expansion, and that friendly rivalry pushed me to not fall behind and sprint for the finish line.

What outfit were you wearing before completing the Godslayer's Armor? Could you show us?
💬 A. Corvicanus. This outfit won the best outfit submitted by players (I think).

💬 A. Yes! I will wear it for a long time.

Is there anything you would like to say to Adventurers gathering the Embers of Ynix and taking on the challenge of completing Godslayer's Armor?
💬 A. Don't sleep on your Edana boss weeklies! Remember that gathering 400 Embers is a marathon, not a sprint. Pace yourself, keep the grind consistent, and know that the moment you turn in those final Embers to the Ynix Remnant and equip the full outfit makes every single hour 100% worth it.

As the first Godslayer, what does Black Desert mean to you?
💬 A. To me, Black Desert is a game where extreme long-term goals and persistence actually feel meaningful. Accomplishing something like this shows that with enough dedication and focus, you can leave a permanent mark on the community. It’s been my main virtual home for almost a decade, and milestones like this make all the time invested truly memorable.
