A great Adventurer has gathered the Embers of Ynix and restored its power.
We present an interview and a closer look at the magnificent Godslayer's Armor Set, worn by the master of the god-consuming flame.

Hello there! Good to see you, could you please introduce yourself for our Adventurers at home?
💬 A. Hi, I'm Wakarad, mostly known as the Awakening Musa player. I've been playing on and off since 2017. I'm a big grinder and always try to push for max gear and better results on the class.

Before we've reached out, did you have any idea you could be the first EU Adventurer to complete a full Godslayer's Armor Set? How did you feel about it when you heard it?
💬 A. Only after I was done, I found out I was already beaten by ChaosSilenze from NA, otherwise I was relatively confident. It's still really cool to be the first on EU to get there tho!

Was it a challenge for you that you had decided on, as a motivation to keep pushing, or you just happened to collect that many pieces through your gearing adventure, that you eventually decided to also go for it after successfully enhancing all your Ekleta accessories?
💬 A. When the region first started my main goal was full DEC Ekleta. I had a couple times when I switched between going for the Godslayer's armor set first and vice versa. Ultimately I still prioritized gear, but afterwards I went back to finish the armor as well, with full focus on it.

Talking about accessories, how did the Black Spirit treat you for Edania Part 2, do you have any numbers to share with us, or just a rough feeling maybe? Any challenge?
💬 A. I was pretty lucky at first, but Black Spirit quickly betrayed me… Ended up a decent amount below average with 273 total taps needed;
pen: 6/12, hex: 6/17, sept: 6/48, Oct: 6/47, nov: 6/61, dec: 6/88 The worst one was my second earring, which I pitied every step from sept all the way to dec.

Since the required materials vary across different monster zones, the completion order might differ from Adventurer to Adventurer.

Which place in Edania ended up being your favorite after going through all of them, and why?
💬 A. When the region released, I quickly skipped all the way to Magaia, which was by far my favorite. But eventually when I got to Event Horizon it took the first place. Both the silver increase and having a spot where I need to move around and can utilize ranged pulls felt really good and engaging.

Going back to the matter of the Godslayer's Armor, did you end up needing one piece in particular at the end, or were you fairly even across all 4 pieces?
💬 A. Throughout the grind there were different pieces that I had the least of and was actively hoping and cheering for. I remember being around 40 of each, I had by far the most gloves, which ironically ended up being the bottleneck. The big difference now that I'm finished is the chest piece, which I'm sitting on over 50 of again.

Interestingly enough, you decided to open the Godslayer's Armor on your Striker first, while being notably known for being an avid Musa player, could you explain the reasoning behind this choice, is it a PvP perspective, to be dripped out for the toughest battles?
💬 A. I was thinking a lot about who to open it on (I did also double check patch notes to see if you can repackage it just in case - which you can). Decided for Striker for both the PvP aspect, but also he's a lot more fitting to have heavy armor on over my Musa. And I absolutely love the heavy-duty feel that it gives him, so I made the right call.

Did you have anyone supporting you in this feat, maybe a guildie, or someone close? Who did you share the news with immediately?
💬 A . I kinda kept hidden how close I was. But once I finished I shared it with the guild and our friend group around it, and of course had to flex in World Chat as well. Also big thanks to Osku and the "Yeah" guild for letting me leech castle buff <3!

Since you're currently using the default look of the Godslayer's Armor Set, do you have any plan of switching colors eventually, if so which ones?
💬 A. I'm not a very creative person myself and the design team generally does a really good job out of the gate, so I feel no need to dye it.

Are you considering chasing a second set for maybe your Musa or another class?
💬 A. Definitely not going as hard as I did for the first, but I know with time it will come as well.

Do you have your eyes set on any other exciting goal for the future? I can imagine you're already planning to defend your throne against the upcoming Throne of Edana Challengers, but is there anything else you wish to achieve maybe?
💬 A. When new stuff comes out, I'll most likely be there pushing for it again. But for the time being I'm taking it slow and resting.

If you'd like to express here and now what you would wish to see in Black Desert in the future, what would it be?
💬 A. Honestly, besides some Musa buffs *wink wink* I leave it up to the developers and look forward to whatever they bring!

I'd like to open up the interview a bit for our conclusion, what does Black Desert mean for you?
💬 A. Black Desert for me has been very important as a long term "time sink", where progress stayed with me even during breaks. It's fun for both hard pushing and chill grinding. I've made a ton of friends over the years thanks to it. And I always have stuff to be working and improving on.
