Abyss One: The Magnus

Abyss One: The Magnus is another world that has always coexisted along with the world of Black Desert.
What is Abyss One: The Magnus?
Within the world of the Magnus, there are "abyssal pockets", each with their own spacetime. Each of these abyssal pockets that branch off from the Magnus holds their own trials.
Proceed through the Abyss One main questline by entering each abyssal pocket and overcoming specific trials.

Start Abyss One: The Magnus
You can proceed with "Abyss One: The Magnus" story by accepting [The Magnus] Nostalgic for Velia via the Black Spirit after you have met the conditions below.
Standard Main Quest: Complete one of the following
- Looking for Adventurers
- [Calpheon] Hero of Calpheon through [Calpheon] Epilogue III
- [Boss] Witch of Horrors
Simplified Main Quest: Complete [Special Growth] Fughar's Memorandum - Chapter 1
Mountain of Eternal Winter: Complete all of the following
- Reach Lv. 56
- Complete the Awakening & Succession (Ascension) questlines, then accept the quest that rewards a Skill Preset Coupon from the Black Spirit
- Complete [A Fresh Adventure] In Search of Lost Memories
* Some parts of the Abyss One: The Magnus main questline require you to complete the Serendia and Calpheon main quests.
▲ Go to Eileen in Velia after accepting [The Magnus] Nostalgic for Velia.
* [The Magnus] Nostalgic for Velia can only be accepted within the Balenos territory.
* [The Magnus] Nostalgic for Velia can only be accepted within the Balenos territory.
▲ You can enter "The Magnus" via a well during the questline.
▲ Proceed with the questline by meeting "Wuju", the custodian of the abyss, within the Magnus.
▲ A scene from the first quest, [The Magnus] Peaceful Vagabond. You will be able to experience different kinds of pockets of the abyss for every quest.
* In the world of Magnus, you will not use equipment from the Black Desert World, but rather equipment exclusive to Abyss One instead.
The Magnus Questline Rewards
Complete [The Magnus] In Return for Your Help during the Abyss One: The Magnus main questline to obtain the knowledge "In Return for Your Help", unlock key quality-of-life features, and receive the following rewards.
◈ PEN (V) Boss Defense Gear
You will be able to choose one piece of boss defense gear enhanced to the maximum enhancement level of PEN (V) (once per Family).
These pieces of gear cannot be listed on the Central Market. However, for the helmet and armor pieces, if you enhance them past Caphras Lv. 10, you will be able to craft them into one of the Slumbering Origin Armor pieces (Fallen God's Armor or Labreska's Helmet, respectively), which can then be registered on the Central Market.

◈ Fast Travel to Major Cities through the Magnus
If you have the knowledge "In Return for Your Help" and the relevant regional geographic knowledge, you can instantly travel to major cities throughout the Black Desert world via the Abyssal Veins within the Magnus or the Abyssal Wells in each city.
Fast travel costs 5,000,000 Silver regardless of distance. (However, New Adventurers whose secondary password was created less than 60 days ago can travel between Balenos and the Land of the Morning Light for free.)

New Adventurer?
Adventurer logging in within 60 days (1440 hours) of creating a Family.
* New Adventurer benefits last 60 days after creating your secondary password.
* You can check the benefit periods for 
New Adventurers via the Black Spirit icon at the top left of the screen.
Abyssal Well Usage Notes
- You must have the knowledge "In Return for Your Help" and the relevant regional geographic knowledge.
- Example: Even if you have the knowledge "In Return for Your Help," you cannot travel to Kamasylvia without knowledge of Grána, a city in Kamasylvia.
- You cannot use the Abyssal Well if you do not have the required 5,000,000 Silver.
- You may experience issues using the Abyssal Well if you are in the middle of certain Magnus quests (quests prior to "[The Magnus] Bloody Eyes in the Well").
◈ Remote Access to Other Regions' Storage
Due to certain major cities now being connected through the Magnus, you can now move and store items to storage in other regions.
You can move and store items from your inventory to storage in different regions through the storage keeper NPC as you proceed with the main questline.
You can also move and store items from your inventory to storage in different regions through a storage maid as you proceed with the main questline.
* The feature is only available in regions revealed on the map. (Not available in Muiquun)
* You cannot store/remove trade/bartering goods, treasure items, and Ornette's/Odore's Spirit Essence (including lesser versions) via this function.
◈ New Skills for All Classes - Abyssal Legacy
You will be enlightened within the world of the Magnus and unlock a new skill. (one per character)
- You can accept [The Magnus] Abyssal Legacy via the Black Spirit after completing the entire The Magnus questline and obtaining "Abyssal Veins: Balenos" knowledge.
- You can obtain [Secret Book] Abyssal Legacy x1 and Armstrong's Skill Guide (1 Day) after completing the quest.
- You can obtain [Secret Book] Abyssal Legacy again from NPC Cruhorn Wyrmsbane if you lose it after completing this quest.
- You can learn and use this Abyssal Legacy skill instead of one Absolute skill of each class when learning this skill.
* All characters of the Family can accept [The Magnus] Abyssal Revelation and learn the skill upon completing the questline once and obtaining Abyssal Veins: Balenos knowledge.

As you progress through the story of the Abyss One: The Magnus main questline, you will be able to obtain the following items. (once per Family)

How to Reach the Magnus
If you have opened all entrances to the Magnus near each major city during the questline, you can find these locations displayed on the World Map as shown in the image below
Also, you can use the Find NPCs function to travel to "Abyssal Well".
Through this function, you can locate an Abyssal Well and, by falling into the well, re-enter the Magnus.
