People were upset at alchemy for awhile, then everyone with guru got to profit a lot for awhile when black gems were the only way to make lightstones. I always thought alchemy was a fun money maker, and my most favorite part was the random item generation.

If you were to ask me, I would say that they added THREE (edit: four haha) ITEMS: dead tree essence, remnants of burnt spirits, alchemy stone shard, and mysterious seed; however, they took away all of the 'very valuable items,' the omigosh level ones. Those items are valuable in their own way, and I appreciate them, but it doesn't seem like you get broken alchemy shards at all. Thus, you get no alchemy stones. I haven't seen a 100m bar in so long (or even a 10m tbh) I have to believe they are no longer available. I wonder, why did they take these things out? They could have stayed in. They were very rare, and it was a kind of cool moment to get one. We're talking about like 10 times in my alchemist life where I got a really good item, and now... that's never gonna happen again.

To me, it's a bit disappointing!

It's better. The 400m life destruction and defense still proc. As do 100m gold bars and you can get 55 caphras proc if mastery high enough. They are all rare tho lucky to get 1 a day and I do 30k synths afk daily basically. It's free elixir of detection for everyone thru afk and farming instead of that market being controlled by the cave dwellers who parked alts at all the truffle spawns and knew repawn time and camped them and controlled the market. Inb4 frumpylumps comes in and complains about just that.

Being able to make detection without having to go mushroom gathering makes all the changes to the byproducts worth.

Nice to know. I haven't seen any of those and I do a lot of alchemy tho not 30k a day haha. I've done enough that I should have seen one, but I haven't in months of playing since I got back.

Edit: maybe they changed it to gate based on what you are making? I make massive demi elixirs haha. Cuz it's the least gated. Been doing it for a long time and it's done well for me.

Edit: I do feel you should be able to get more alchemy STONES tho, like spirit stones and all types (up to maxxx) at random. Low odds, of course, but at least there's a chance of v good stuff.
