Take your time and enjoy the game. While being eased into the incredible learning curve much more naturally, you will also future-proof yourself by all the benefits from those low-mid level quests (extra contribution, knowledge, and inventory slots).
-
If you do intend to be fast-tracked, at the very least do not neglect your shadow quests. They will guide you alongside helping you gear up early on.
-
In your second city you encounter early on called "Velia", spend 1 contribution to buy a lodging building (available from the node management interface anywhere) to let you own two workers in that city (get goblins) and then invest into the potato node from Loggia Farm and Bartali Farm and get them working! This will supply you with all the potatoes you will ever need for beer to keep you going well into the future, alongside tons of cooking exp and contribution xp gained via cooking.
-
Use this for pretty much all your needs, alongside googling heavily.
-
When getting around 40-50, a great armor set as you slowly transition into boss gear is Grunil. Tanky enough, and the AP will speed up your grinding a lot.
-
Spend most of your loyalty first on weight packs, at least until you have 2-3 out of the 4 available. Other than that, you can buy knowledge resets, or artisan memory (iirc).https://9apps.ooo/
-
Right away you need to fill up all of your character slots. I don't play any alts, but use all of my character slots for failstacking and their energy pool.
-
Join a guild as soon as you can for permanent (while within guild) bonuses to things like AP, accuracy, gathering speed, etc. These bonuses are increased and more common in higher ranked guilds, however.
-
Keep food (mostly XP bonus and combat stats later on) cycling as much as you can, it levels up your Health stat to increase your resource pool for skills and total HP.

If you get overwhelmed...just google, or ask :)

Seasonal eliminates this step. Tuvala gear vastly outclassing Grunil in almost every aspect. Other than that, these are great tips for newbies. If I may add mine here as well :)
1) Play Seasons. It will allow you to boost your gear faster than ever possible, enhancing materials do not cost silver, only gameplay, with a free HUGE reward at the end (TET yellow acc. equivalent).
2) Finish main story line up to end of Drieghan. Inv. slots, pets, and quest accessories that are enhanceable to be DUO yellow acc. equivalents.
3) Join an active guild. They can help you along the way and keep you company. There's a lot to take in, so having experienced players to give you pointers will help alot.
4) Google is your best friend.
5) Questing is the fastest way to level from 58 - 61. Suggest to look up ImPansy's or EvilDoUsHarm's guides.
6) Take it one step at a time. Again, there's lots to take in, so take it slow.
7) End-game has a lot of focus on making silver. Explore ways to efficiently accumulate wealth.
8) RNG is not necessary in many cases. Gear progression, you can buy upgrades from CM, with a 100% enhance rate by buying ;) some things, though, are gated by RNG
9) Remember, it's a video game. It's meant to have fun. Try to keep fun as your priority.
10) Sorc best class >:-)
