From what I understood and from what some people are saying on discord according to the video of the devs of PA:
Maegu is Moosa's awakening and Moosa is Maegu's succession
What Maegu uses is Moosa awakening weapon and vice versa

I hope not because that would be dumb to transform into Maegu for Awakening. I'd rather they got their own unique Awakenings.
