Hi there,

I was wondering if I could do the BS Awakening Weapon Quest with a Season Character?

Thus far I was only able to select the Blackstar Main Weapon Quest while having the Remnants of the Rift item and Specters Energy in my inventory.

I've completed the BS Awakening Quest (and other BS Gear Quests) once with a different non seasonal/non converted character. So technically I own also the knowledge of The Legendary Blacksmiths of Mediah which counts for all my characters family wide....I guess.

As far I understand the BS quests are available once per character, not once per family.

I've completed the the main Calpheon and Mediah quest lines (which are mandatory for the BS quests) with the mentioned Season Character by first doing the Mountain of Eternal Winter quest line (at the very beginning after creation of the Season Character) and then after that completed the simplefied Main Story quest line (which is the same as completing the Calpheon and Mediah quest line the normal way).

What I noticed is that when I try to select the BS Awakening Quest with my main character (non seasonal and never converted from seasonal) then all BS Gear quests are available.

When switching to a former Seasonal character (converted seasonal) and try to select one of the BS quests, I can only select the Blackstar Main Weapon Quest.

Most of my converted seasonals have completed the mandatory quest lines via the simplefied methode...so may be this could be the issue.

Or...Do I have to complete The Legendary Blacksmiths of Mediah once again for every converted character...this is what I'm going to test now.

Also, when I switch to another character to check if any of the BS Quests are available, I've always the Specters Energy and Remnants of the Rift items in their inventory (otherwise the BS quests won't show up from Martha Kiyen).

I'm aware that I simply can run the BS Awakening Quest with a character that is qualified and exchange the awakening weapon by using a coupon at a later stage when the mentioned Season Character is converted. But that is not my intention in the first place.

I need some explenation on this please because it's a bit puzzling me.

Thank you very much in advance!

I'm also aware that it makes no sense right now to go for any Blackstar Gear with a Season Character because it's not equipable untill Graduation. So this post is totally not relevant for the current Season Character but then again, the fact that other converted season characters can't do the BS Awakening Quest keeps puzzling me.

Also...just tested if I had to do The Legendary Blacksmiths of Mediah again speciffically for converted season characters, this is not needed.

This knowledge is gained family wide.

Woosa and Maegu do not have an awakening weapon yet. I am guessing that is the reason your converted season character cannot see the black star awakening weapon quest. A season character should be able to see and do any of the black star quests as long as there is a black star weapon for its class.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Yeah, sounds logical. My current season character in question is a Striker and qualified for doing the BS quests as far I can tell.

I believe that the simplefied main story quest line is the whole issue because all converted characters who have completed the simplefied quest line are not able to select the BS Awakening quest but only the BS Main Weapon quest.

Also, a former season character of mine, a Valkyrie, who also has completed the simplefied quest line cannot select the BS Awakening quest either.

Switching to Musa (my main) which is a normal character (non seasonal, normal main story quest line) is able to select all of the BS quests.

Another example, my Sage, also a former season character who have completed the normal seasonal main story quest line is also able to select all of the BS quests (and completed the BS Awakening and other BS Gear quests).

So it seems a bit strange and depends on how the main story is completed. Just in my case I have to say, may be I'm doing something wrong.

Would be nice if a GM could solve the puzzling :)
