Something needs to be done about PvP guilds that dec on other guilds for the sole purpose of harassing them without takeing a karma hit. Someone in my guild had a dispute with a person at a grind spot, and usually these are resolved by someone moving, or flagging up and having it out. That's fine, I'm not against PvP in general, it's just not my thing. But instead, the person from the other guild got his guild to dec on ours, and ever since, afk trainers can't step a foot outside safe zones, and we are getting hammered at world bosses. They don't want to let it go, and we only have a tiny number of people able to depfend against players whose sole focus is PvP, node wars, etc. No one can even say what the original dispute was, it's just an excuse to pick on boss alts, lifeskillers, and afk players without suffering from the one mechanic in the game designed to mitigate griefing.

Well, that's why people join pvp guilds. They want to dec. What does it matter? There's no way someone can track you well throughout all of the servers and it would be an immense waste of time even if they did. But yeah, that's like... their thing. It doesn't matter if you win or lose the initial dispute, so I usually don't even do anything haha. I mean, you can also just take the camping. If a guild decs you and puts men on it over time, you must have done something serious. It's usually like a 1 day thing unless you are a super fun victim.

Guild diplomacy is an important aspect of player-interaction in this game.  Your GM should step up to the plate and work this out with their GM / leadership using diplomacy.  One option is to reach out to that guild's GM and state your case -- that you are a small guild and cannot PvP well enough to hold warring guild status.  Declare peace with them to call off the war.  Now, if they refuse, for one reason or another (maybe one of your guild members is a griefer, maybe the other guild are griefers, for examples), diplomacy plays a role here as well as making friendships / alliances with other guilds is pretty important.  You can enlist the aid of a friendly guild to dec on them and help you out when an open world fight breaks out.

As for this: "afk trainers can't step a foot outside safe zones", c'mon man.

- AFK training at level 49 and below cannot be attacked, even outside of safe zone.  You cannot be attacked inside of safe zone.  You don't AFK outside of safe zone on a level 50+, it's been this way for years.  Heidel is a good safe zone AFK training spot, as a suggestion.

yea, I mean bdo is a soft pvp game, surprised to hear people like I CAN'T. I wouldn't reach out to someone, tho, if they drop a dec on you... and have the men to do it, good on em. Back when I had pvpers they'd go troll around and farm people who are caught solo (basically the same thing I do in other more hardcore pvp games,) punishing the pve-ers and such is how you get ws. But I think there is more to this story cuz you don't drop a hard dec and put people on something for no reason haha.

Story time! People kept KOing guys off horses and I flagged and blasted this dude for luls, Snake life skill shai running around. IN THE WAY. DEAD. Go after dude again, shai alive, in the way again dead. I'm RED. Every crystal, every lightstone. From 62 40% to 0%. Camped. Raw camped. Sat there. I went up to dudes later when I saw them doing the same stuff and was like yall still doing this crap? Griefing hard? I tried to explain that I thought they were actually trying to have some fun, and I wanted to join in for a sec. I flagged to BE FAIR. I HATE the flag system, how people can tear and then you blow them up and it's on you, it's like WAT. That's why I usually play on arsha if I'm gonna shoot people. Regardless, a lot of people on this game just want an excuse. They want to know they are making an impact. Plenty of stuff you can do tho. I would not ask for mercy tho. It depends on the guild, but if it's a 'real pvp guild,' I wouldn't. I'd just wait it out. Nothing happens when you die lol. It's not like it's full loot.

Edit: and thank God my only downgrade was a tet armor piece.

The problem is, if a PvP guild dec's, no karma hit, no broken crystals, none of the things that make flagging something you have to think twice about.

On the AFK trainer thing ... I'm not talking about the random PvPers, becaue again, those flag up. I'm talking about the other guild literally hanging out at bridges waiting to see if someone didn't plan their path prfectly so they could attack them. Did this always happen? Yes, and people ought to afk more carefully, but AGAIN, no penalty if there is a dec. Nothing to stop them from attacking non-stop. At bosses, it was  a nightmare. Boss time comes up ... 5-6 deaths. No penalty. This is simple harrassment. Why would a PvP guild even bother with mainly lifeskillers and PvE?

The level 49 argument doesn't work because not everyone wants to be stuck at 49. Personally, my own main is also my main trainer. Most of my other chars are boss alts.

Diplomacy? We tried, they didn't want to hear it. The event that caused the problem was someone got salty at a grind spot. I don't even really know who was at fault. It was a grind spot, not even a major one, it was Tshira. Probalby grinding for pity pieces. It doesn't matter. Our person should have just left, but from what I know, they stepped on a rotation, and the dec just happened, so it was likely the GM or a buddy. The would hear nothing, and we have a few people who specifically try to talk down these situations. They didn't wnat to hear it.

This is cyber bullying. Yeah, it's just a game, and yes, PvP is a thing. I'm just saying the guild dec is a loophole that allows harrassment. If these guys were forced to flag, they wouldn't be quite so willing to do it. We have a few members who can stand up to this. But only a few. If they knew they were attacking potentially going to lose a fight, they wouldn't be so eager.

The problem only went away when the other guild decided to grab a node.

But you know what I'm hearing here? "Hur hur, we are PvPer's, tough luck on you loser." It's about time PA paid some attention to people whao aren't into PvP.  Ever notice how empty Arsha is? That's because even PvPers don't want to get ganked. It tells you something, doesn't it?

Just because people aren't saying, "ohh poor thing, yes, they're big ol' meanies, here's your binky" doesn't mean people are saying "tough luck".

Level 49 is intentionally designed to allow AFK outside safezone.  It's there.  People use it, I see level 49 trainers all the time.  It might not be ideal for your exact wants, but remember you're not the only one playing the game.  It's a compromise, a middle ground, to appease everyone at once while maintaining BDO's core PvX open world design -- $20 for a lifeskill level reroll coupon, you can also place an order for it on the CM.  You can even do active gathering on a level 49, but I don't lifeskill, so IDK if the better gathering spots require higher levels.  It is what it is.

About harrassment, if you are really out of options, record footage.  You have Shadowplay, don't you?  If not, there's other screen capture software out there.  Record your interactions, date and timestamp them, record chat messages, footage of when they PK you, wait to PK you, etc. and submit a ticket for it.

Disrupting Gameplay

1) An act of disrupting the normal gameplay of a specific member or several members by maliciously using the game/operating system

2) An act of constantly bothering or harassing a specific member and disrupting their gameplay

※ Depending on the severity of the issue, the Company may forcefully disconnect the user from the game and also give additional penalties.

That's from the opertational policy.  BDO is PvEvP sandbox MMO.  Sucks they targeted you, maybe they don't like you for personal reasons, IDK.  You can try making friends with a PvP guild to help you out.  Or, you guys can get good at PvP so you can actually stand your own ground in these altercations.  That's pretty much your options at this point.

It's a demonstration of a complete lack of knowledge from Pearl Abyss to implement a one war declaration system.  It's the result of copying models from other games without understanding how they work.

The answer is so obvious it shouldn't ever need to be stated.  What you are experiencing has happened to many people for years and PA simply neglected to do anything about it.

The reason why it has support here isn't based on reason or logic.  People support it simply because they like to abuse it and don't care.

The reason I do not play PvP on BDO and the reason I do not hire people for my guild.

I left BDO years ago because of the bad grinding PvP shoot, and only returned to join Season Servers now with no OpenWorld PvP. No Season Servers anymore or with PvP again and I am out again.
