Do you enjoy the story? I like and pay attention to the story a lot and I really enjoy it.
I can even say I enjoy the story and the world experience the most, followed by the combat's gameplay style.
So how many of you out there enjoy the story of the game and what are your favorite parts of the lore if you do?

(EDIT): And how do you now feel about LoML's story and lore that it has been released and you have experienced it? Which tale have you enjoyed the most?

I do.

I also enjoy some of the random side quests, like the two guys staring at each other across a bridge in Serendia. Or the story of the mysterious champion at Lake Flondor.

...and what are your favorite parts of the lore if you do?

A few big brain moves by certain characters.

- Crucio Domongatt, king of Heidel, ignoring the personality of his sons and leaving them to rule because he got tired of it, which ended in a civil war in which all three of his sons died and he was forced back into the throne, only for him to lose the next war now against Calpheon (formally caused by the civil war), and have his kingdom become a vassal state of Calpheon.

- Goddess Sylvia being forced to flee from her realm, Elvia, due to the violent takeover carried out by Godr-Ayed there, and leaving a two-way road connecting both Elvia and the realm she fled to (which most likely is where Godr-Ayed went to Elvia from). Ever since Hadum took over Elvia, the connection between the two worlds has been a constant headache with the God of Darkness attempting to gain a foothold in Black Desert's world over and over again.

- Rux Maha Dehkia, a genius inventor and overall amazing person, but inept when dealing with other human beings. His carefully crafted masterplan, spanning fifty years, hinged upon 4 random orphaned kids he took on the verge of death, 2 boys and 2 girls, which he then renamed and raised to do all the things needed as he intended. Then he unalived himself "because his body wouldn't be fit in 50 years" and left a machine prepared to create a new young body for him and download into it his memories and personality. As anybody can expect, things went terribly wrong and not at all according to plan.

There was a thread a while back that listed a few of these side quests.  The two guys on the bridge rank high.  Forgot about the Flondor race champion.  There are many others, some humorous, some that add depth more seriously.

Some are per-character, some are once per family. And some are no more, after content changes.

I enjoyed the story up to the O'Dyllita. At O'Dyllita it started feeling a bit convoluted, and it was also when they had to re-write and remake parts of the main questline to fit it. After that, it has been...ehh.

Althought, the world building you get from knowledge entries, from NPC stories and side quests. It's freaking amazing, people that only care about min/maxing and stuff, they're missing out on what I feel is a big part of the beauty of this game, and just treating it as one of those free to play, low effort mmos (Which BDO, from what has been seen in O'Dyllita and specially Eternal Winter expansions, has started becoming). The older regions have a ton of amazing quest/world building goodness that flesh out the game and at least to me, make it feel soo much more alive.

Comparatively, the story is generally convoluted, meanders rather pointlessly at times, and suffers badly from poor delivery choices. The general feeling I had was our character is mostly a passive obeserver, often arriving too late to important events, instead only to hear tales of them from NPCs, as opposed to actually taking part in them like your character (should) does in many other games; finding themselves in the thick of the action so to speak.

That being said, the new Balenos Questline is greatly improved. So there is hope. Fingers-crossed PA continue to improve the rest of the story going forward, and in a timely manner. I hope in a few years time we're still not hearing "We plan to continue to improve the main story".

I do; I don't enjoy the presentation in most cases, though. I also think they shouldn't work on disjointed parts so much. Like, come on, continue the O'draxxia story, finish the lore for Hadum, Kzarka, Godr-Ayed/Elion, Sylvia/Thornwood Goddess, creation myth, black spirits, all that stuff.

I did pay attention to the lore the first time through.  There are so many disturbing parts, especially the O'delita questline, that I will not read any of the new lore.  The lore has you murder your friend that you poisoned while trying to "help her".  Then later you make poop wine, so you check to see if poop wine is real and you realize that the animal that typically gets poop wine made from is not a squirrel but another animal that you almost vomit.  The lore in BDO is just too sick, twisted, and depressing to not R spam it.
