Without trying to sound too much like a "I did it, so should you" type person, the Frigate/Galleas are stronger ships, which is why I figure they cost more. Galleas has twice as many cannons as Caravel, does more damage, and has better overall stats, thus SMH faster and gets materials faster. It's balanced at Carrack level (crafting cost), where the differences are less severe.

It should not be the same because the boats are not the same, this is why you are getting downvoted.

id Almost agree there as i know theres a cannon difference but counter arguement any crafted weapon for characters ie dragon slayer doesnt matter if its a height difference or if theres 6 of them..it all costs the same. Apply that logic here Whats the difference besides lazy coding

Caravel have more inventory slots and more LT, so we can also say that it is better than Galleass because you barter faster.

Caravel and Galleass are outdated so the amount of materials should be identical, carracks are different but their gear is the same (same mats amount) for all.

Let's go the other way, though: if you want consistency, with in-game inflation they should both cost more, not less.

Just leave it the way it is, every time PA 'fixes' something, they destroy it.

It is worth adding that this difference in materials was a bad idea from the very beginning because killing smh made no sense in the times of Caravel and Galleass and there is no point in the times of carracks, especially since the difference in the damage dealt by Valor or Volante is minimal compared to the other two carracks and is only noticeable when you have blue gear, which is extremely difficult to obtain (too far to crocodiles, no island near crocodiles to replenish ammo and food rations, repairing ship is a nightmare manually).

So the best carrack is Advance, because in the ocean only barter counts.

Also, nowadays obtaining materials for building ships has been much easier, so this difference is not that difficult.
