In Witch's case, only a full rework can save the class, because the class is dead.
Nobody wants to use Witch Awk on 1v1, RBF, 15x15, or even Siege anymore. You must play succ if you want to do something.
But at that point, what is the goal of having an AWK? Seems like a waste of space.

At the time you are making a full combo, you get grabbed and die. Because you can't kill very fast, needs a lot of time.

When Valk or that male warrior class, striker I think, knock me down, I feel it took like 2000 years for me to get up while spamming teleport non-stop. Most of the time dead even with 436DP before CC duration up. Nothing can be done about this except using the long cooldown V escape. So does CC duration vs witch took longer compared to other classes? I only play 1 class, and only 1 spec that is Awakened witch from day one after lvl56. So not sure if CC vs other classes is shorter duration?? Is this intended? If so, very imbalanced.
Obviously choosing Awakened witch was a bad choice, but what choice does a new player had coming in from other MMOs? Hey this game looks good. The big PvP scene looks fun. I want to play the usual pew pew magic dps class like a mage and prefer female. Where is it? Oh BDO has one such class, WITCH!! The rest are nearly all damn melees. WTH?? Of course I am regretting this decision now. Also not interested in playing other classes at all, that's not how I play an MMO.

What's a 'good' combo for PvE awakened witch?
I've looked at guides, but I'm not sure if they include the recent changes.
This is what I've been following so far.
"You want to start with Fissure Wave and then Voltaic Pulse and Equilbrium Break to debuff. Yoke of Ordeal for the T3 addons and then back into Fissure Wave again for damage. If the monsters don’t die after the 3rd Fissure Wave, you can do extra damage with Sage’s Thunder + Residual Lightning OR if those are on cooldown, you can use Swift/Trembling Earthquake (SHIFT + Z)"
Let me know if I should change. The mobs I'm fighting right now are wussies so I don't really even need a combo yet.
The more I read about the classes and class balance in this game, the more I realize that PA is better at balancing than the playerbase can accept. What people seem to think balance is classes being equally good at PvP and PvE and this is literally impossible without homogenizing the classes. There are some traits that are going to be better for PvP and some better for PvE. That's not to say the game is perfectly balanced or this is any kind of masterpiece but being significantly worse than another class (or many classes for that matter) at something doesn't mean your class is unusable.
I play Awk Valk but I do so almost exclusively in PvE so I don't get to see her OP aspect. I've accepted that the traits that make her good in PvP don't translate as well to PvE but the best I've seen can do around 70-80% as well as the better classes at grinidng. If we translate this difference in class effectiveness to fighting games, this is like a 6-4 matchup in grinding against the stronger class at PvE. This is not apples-to-apples, of course, because the variance in silver made per session makes a difference in how much overlap there would be but I think we're starting to get a bit in the weeds there.
Do I think that there isn't work to be done? Of course not. But I think we should be focusing more on making characters work as intended (fixing bugs and tuning numbers) and increasing the number of useful skills that classes have rather than being laser-focused on making sure the winrates are perfectly 50/50.
