Some good changes, but a few QoL fixes would be appreciated.

1. They have made Watcher quick slot only, now nothing is bound to Q.

Change Spear of Sylvia to only Q instead of Shift+Q. Let's us use Double Tap without overlap.

2. Make Low Sweep work from Crossbow with Earth Kick Locked.

3. Make Piercing Light work from Crossbow.

4. Unbind Exhale from E (Quick Slot only), make Earth Shatter E and work from Greatbow. Then make Full Bloom work from Crossbow.

Exhale now shares cooldown with Steady Breath. We will use Steady Breath a majority of the time. The keybind is pretty much worthless.

This would fix most swaps and smooth out the class.

Actually would also add to this. RMB should just be Flow: Light's Trail. This skill has no point being a "Flow" skill anymore when it has a cooldown and functions pretty much like any standard ability. 

Light's Path exists for no reason anymore without the AP buff (good riddance). The damage on it is higher than LMB, but is the exact same functionality and animation. I think you should just buff LMB to do the same damage as RMB in Greatbow. 

So in short:

1. Remove Light's Path

2. Buff LMB (Greatbow Training) to deal more damage.

3. Change Flow: Light's Trail to RMB keybind. Make it function as a normal skill. Reduce cooldown to 6 seconds to match most other skills.

4. Make the new "Light's Trail" work from Crossbow. Currently RMB does nothing, so the swap would be nice.

5. Allow add-ons for Light's Trail.

Edit: Actually 1 step further.

Make Righteous Smite also only flow from RMB, but also RMB while Light's Trail is on cooldown. Because now with the forced cooldown, you can't use it on demand without quickslotting it, which is generally pretty slow. 

This would make it so you can Low Sweep after Light's Trail without using Righteous Smite.

A+F> S+E (-15 DP) > SPACE (addon -20 DP) S+F> SHIFT+RMB > Quickslot for arrow explosion and use W+E for close distance and pre-buff D+RMB iframe repositioning and buff (RMB) AP and repeat. Simple combo for grind. I’ve been doing this since the rework, and I can grind anywhere really well. I also use Ensnare(on a quickslot ) + Steady Br. for protection sometimes and repositioning, and the rest is just Q and Z buffs. I don’t know why you’re complicating things so much on the PvE side with what you said, it’s pretty much useless.

Archer mains who like acting like there isn't jank are embarassing. I've played this class forever and I'm not blind to it. 

There is a reason no one plays this class. We have 2 threads with a total of like 7 replies and 20 likes/dislikes after the changes. Warrior has a thread with nearly 800. WHY DO YOU THINK THAT IS? Do people not like ranged classes, no Hunters and bow classes in other games are incredibly popular.

It is because this class has JANK and tons of weird shit going on that makes it unfun to play until you muscle memory all the awful parts of it. My suggestion is to fix that partially. It contains a single key change to EXHALE of all abilities. How often do you press Exhale!? I haven't pressed it outside of pvp ever. It is locked. You probably won't ever press it after the incoming changes that make it's CD tied to Steady Breath.

Nothing I posted complicates the class at all. It removes switches before certain abilities (with no conflicting keybinds) and streamlines the overlaps with Full Bloom and Earth Shatter.

It was never necessary to use Exhale for regen in PvE because you have HP regeneration on many skills, and as long as you have multiple targets, you constantly regenerate. You’re making things complicated when there are better solutions.

As for why people don’t play Archer? It’s a class that requires a huge time investment for minimal to decent results. Why spend years learning a high-movement class that combines low-range, mid-range, and full-range skills, running left and right, when you can play Berserker and clear monsters and ppl in pvp with two skills? Or Striker, and the same logic applies.  

Do players always choose the meta? Why do you think everyone switches to the classes that benefit from PA’s changes? Because for PA, this means extra revenue, as players spend money in the Pearl Shop on new character.

Archer, as a class, is difficult to play (at its full potential), so even if you make it a Meta Class, it will still require skill to use properly. Because of this, it remains ignored, it can't generate money.

All we want are a few fixes, an extra protection, and for them to leave it alone.

Again, I want to emphasize that Archer is a complex class for those who play it at its full potential. Otherwise, you can just sit in the back during Node War, spamming Full Bloom, Smite, and a couple of other ranged skills to steal kills from those fighting on the front line.

That’s also a way to play it, but it doesn’t appeal to me.

So yeah, I went a bit overboard with the explanation, but I'll try to keep it short:

Why bother pressing 30 buttons to deal damage when you can press 3 buttons on another class and do twice as much in PvE?

That’s basically how the community works. You have tag sistem.

Then what the fuck are you even saying. You want to keep a dedicated key to that instead of replacing it with one of our most used skills?

How in the world is that "over complicating" a fix? You have to be trolling. 

My suggestion is to make it so you can Full Bloom from crossbow without having to swap first (Something that is unneccessary). This would also let you use Earth Shatter with "E" instead of having to quick slot it (Something you can already do, but frees up a slot).

Shift + E is both Full Bloom and Earth Shatter. E - Exhale is a already bad ability being turned useless with the changes. Why should we have it still tied to E? We can clear out this overlap and make the class less clunky. 


Please tell me how this would make the class worse in any way.

I didn't mean to upset you, but this is the reality. You can't just use Shift+E from main and expect it to be fine. Usually, Shift+E from main is used after A+F, which you can do from multiple skills, but in grinding, you typically have two main damage combos:

A+F > Shift+E > S+Q + Q and Space, followed by S+F > Shift+RMB and flow, movement, and repeat A+F > Shift+E.

When grinding, you can't use Full Bloom from Awakening because it doesn't deal damage up close, and I don't think you're farming from a distance. 😂

What you're suggesting is pretty useless. It would have been nice for both PvE and PvP if they gave us a protection on Low Sweep for fast cancel animation on dmg skills. we needed.

Is something getting lost in translation?


Simplest terms:

1. Archer has multiple abilities that share the same input to activate them. (Shift+E, Shift+RMB, Shift+Q, etc)

2. Archer has multiple abilities that do not share an input and require a weapon swap to use them. (Piercing Light, Shadebound Beam, etc)

3. Other ascension classes like Deadeye and Scholar do not have this issue.

4. I made suggestions to alleviate the pain points significantly. 
5. You seem to not care about fixing these problems because you are used to the muscle memory (so you assume there is no problem).

6. I know you can get to the skills by swapping first. I don't need your combo. I know how to play the class. I want these changes to make the class more fluid.

7. My suggestion is not useless. It opens up tons of new combos and gaurentees you use the ability you intended to use. If you are CC'd in a middle of a combo, sometimes you don't get up using the weapon you were expecting.

Your reason for calling it useless is that you can already press these buttons if you swap first. I am arguing that there is zero point to have these restrictions in the first place.

Example; Glissade is on CD. You could Gaping Darkness (W+E) to close the distance into Full Bloom so both hits connect.

"You can't use Shift+E from main and expect it to be fine" is hilarious. Full Bloom isn't an Exodia instant win. Even if it was, you can already press it 90% of the time since you are in Greatbow. It makes barely any difference in the balance of the class if you can use it from crossbow.

My second post is a suggestion for changing RMB to Light's Trail and Righteous Smite while Light's Trail is on cooldown. 

1. Flow: Light's Trail will be an 8 second cooldown. It doesn't need to flow from 8 different skills when it can only be used once now.

2. Righteous Smite is a 20 second cooldown.

3. If you press them on cooldown, you could only Righteous Smite every 3rd Light's Trail with it's activation condition.

4. Assuming they would use the fast animation instead of the slow quick slot version, this would fix this mismatch.
