Introduction

I have been playing BDO for many years now, and I’ve mostly played Succession Musa. I’d like to share some thoughts on Succession Musa and suggest improvements that could help the class in both PvE and PvP.

As we all know, Succession Musa is not one of the newer classes by design. Lately, I feel like it can’t really keep up with the newer classes — partly due to meta changes, but that’s a separate topic.

Issues

Succession Musa is a “heavy” Super Armor class that relies on some unprotected skills to generate Serene Mind and then spends it to deal damage.
Previously, this wasn’t much of an issue due to high damage output. However, since the Khazarad / Evasion / DR changes, the class has started to really struggle in extended fights — mainly due to a lack of CC potential (often having to play around enemy Frontal Guards) and an outdated kit.

If you need to execute a full combo of 6 skills — with gaps — to deal similar damage as a single AoE Super Armor skill from another class, something is off.

Movement & Surprise Element

The class is also pretty easy to track now in small-scale or 1v1 fights. It’s easy to predict what a Succession Musa will do next. Meanwhile, many other classes can teleport around at insane speeds while staying in Iframes or Super Armors — and they often have much better CC potential.

General Self-Buffs

Succession Musa is also lacking general self-buffs that many newer classes have, such as attack speed buffs or a +20 AP buff.

Changes / Ideas

Prime: Tiger Blade (New Proposal)

Tiger Blade is a really outdated skill and mostly serves no purpose in the Succession Musa kit — other than running away.

New Prime Version (keep the old one for Awakening Musa kit):

• The new version would not enter dual-wielding state.

• Instead, it would give Musa:

  • +10–15% Attack Speed

  • +20% Movement Speed

• Musa would stay in the normal state and be able to use regular skills.

• During the effect, Serene Mind consumption would not apply damage reduction.

• The skill would receive cooldown reduction for every Serene Mind consumed (similar to Prime: Overdrive in the Sage kit).

This change would help Succession Musa in PvE, (possibly with 70–90% uptime during PVE) thanks to skill spam during grinding. It would also help in PvP, though the lower uptime (due to the class’s in-and-out playstyle) would keep it balanced.
Ofouce some adjustments would have to be done if needed.

Arrow Grapple

• Lower cooldown to 7 seconds.

• Add no collision.

• Add stamina recovery during the skill.

• Add Super Armor.

• Make the skill follow camera rotation.

This would really help Musa escape tough situations.

Prime: Flame Rush

• Add +6% to all evasion.

• Add stamina recovery during the skill.

Ultimate: Gale

• Change AP buff from +10 to +20.

Prime: Crust Crusher

• Keep the same AoE for Knockdown.

• Add a second hit with vacuum effect for PVE(like Musa’s Resolve in Awakening).

• Maybe add a +20% Movement Speed buff for self and party members. (utility purpose)

Prime: Wanderer’s Blade

• Change the passive effect to something like Attack Speed.

Other Notes

There are definitely more changes that should be made. A lot of the skills feel outdated, such as:

• All the kick skills

• Dragon Bite flows

• Whirlwind Cut

• Nemesis Slash

Despite everything, I still believe Succession Musa is an insanely fun class to play — even today. It really deserves some love.

It's a waste of time to come up with anything for musa. Nothing will change. Barly anyone plays this class or talks about it anymore. Been playing it since the launch of the game. Peope have been complaining how trash musa was for years. Yes they did buff the pve finally which made it a pretty good grinder now, but for pvp related stuff. It's just average. Don't have a grab. Alawys runs out of stamia. Its a sa trading class that cant sa trade anyone lols. Most of kit is predictable. Ya chase is nice and fast. But people can still see you coming. Most new classes can just teleport away or teleport cc you instantly. Musa is just a rat class that ks for kills. But at the same time there are way better classes for that. There is no reason to play musa other then its really fun to play and you like its gameplay. I would recommend hash or awak sage if you want to enjoy pvp more. Both are really similiar to musa's kit. Both can pressure better and sa trade way better then musa. They also have a range grab with all that movement. I don't know why they even have a grab in the first place with all that teleporting but its w.e. Bdo balance has been trash for years.

The class has its shortcomings, but it’s one of the few classes that can kill tanks like Zerkers, Strikers, or Mystics as if they had no armor insane damage. Maybe it’s good to have something viable like that, so at least there’s something that can deal with those three xD."

I would love it if Tiger Blade actually had a point.  It was good before Reboot, but now it's useless.  And the cooldowns for the bow skills are ridiculous.
