Suggestion: BDO abassadors get an icon next to their name in all chat channels when speaking
Details: I have had the good fortune to be helped out by the wonderful BDO ambassadors on several different occasions. It seems like they are the first line of defense for cm/gm's and support staff - but there is no way to easily tell who they are. If you happen to be standing right in front of them ingame you might see their title, but I think they should have an icon next to their names in chat. It could be similar to what new and returning adventurers just received; something to help people realize when they see an ambassador in chat, that they are a good source of accurate information and even help.
Unless people are memorizing the names from your patch notes, there's just no good way ingame to differentiate an ambassador's server or group chat message from some random troll. I think you could fix this very quickly, and it would be helpful to your playerbase.
As an Ambassador this is going to sound at least a little bit like self interest, but I agree. Especially in the chats that are oriented towards new/returning players (or are the default joined ones) it can be difficult to "stand out".
I also hear fairly frequently that people weren't really aware of the Ambassador programme until they saw one of us in-game with the title. Giving the programme (and the Ambassadors) better/more visibility through a simple change like this would help a lot!
I just wanted to say thank you for this thoughtful suggestion.
As one of the BDO Ambassadors, I really appreciate your kind words and completely agree with the spirit of what you're saying. The goal of the Ambassador program is to help players and be a friendly, reliable presence in the community—but without any clear way to identify us in chat, it can be hard for people to know who they can trust or turn to for help.
Having a small icon or marker (like what new or returning adventurers have) would make it easier for players to recognize when an Ambassador is available in chat, especially during busy times or in server groups where names fly by quickly. It's not about standing out for the sake of it, but about being more visible so we can support the community more effectively.
Thanks again for raising this—it's a simple idea that could go a long way in making the Ambassador program more useful for everyone.
Here's a situation from today where an Ambassador specific name icon would have been helpful. I know Rilma from some abassador dungeons runs, but I'm not sure everyone else knows this is a trusted source. This would be so easy and help both your staff from getting less tickets and the players from being less confused!
