Storage

Dernière modification : 16 avr. 2024, 13:19 (UTC)
All the Adventurers in Black Desert’s world have limits on inventory slots and weight. Thus, it is very important to take good care of items.
That’s where the town storages come into play. They serve the basic function of keeping your items well and safe, and play an important part in the process of crafting items in workshops and the workers’ overall daily routine, so they are very important.

Finding the Storage Keepers

Town storages in Black Desert are separate for each town.
For example, items that are left at Velia’s storage can’t be recovered from Heidel’s.
Additionally, not all towns have the storage functionality.
To distinguish this, open the World Map interface (hotkey: M) and press on a town’s node icon. If the town has a storage, the storage window will appear right away, while towns without one will show nothing.
Because of this, the NPCs who manage the towns’ storages are highlighted and easily found.
You can find the different storage keepers easily by clicking the Find NPC magnifying glass icon to the left of the minimap and using the function, or you can open the world map and search for the storage keeper icon in towns and cities.

The storage keeper NPCs are the following.

Territory NPC name (Town name)
Balenos Makuum (Olvia), Ernill (Velia), Baori (Iliya Island)
Serendia Amerigo (Heidel), Frenil (Glish)
Calpheon Basquean Ljurik (Calpheon City), Pavino Greko (Port Epheria),
Christine Cessory (Keplan), Langus (Trent)
Mediah Deve (Altinova), Ignar (Tarif)
Valencia Tavu (Sand Grain Bazaar), Altunie (Shakatu), Ramanit (Valencia City), Diofalan (Ancado Inner Harbor), Buroma (Arehaza), Ferdi (Muiquun, only for negative karma characters)
Kamasylvia Lumen (Old Wisdom Tree), Vipiko (Grána)
Drieghan Rinta (Duvencrune)
O’dyllita Delorence (O’draxxia)
Mountain of Eternal Winter Kulan (Eilton)
The Great Ocean Oquilla’s Eye (Herrad Romsen)
Land of the Morning Light Doodol (Nampo's Moodle Village), Dukchoon (Dalbeol Village), Goyoung (Nopsae's Byeot County)
Ulukita Asparkan (Nur), Muzgar (Fadil), Velandir (Belja)

Using the Storage

If you go to a storage keeper NPC and talk to them, you can find the Storage option (hotkey: 2) in the interaction interface. If you access it, the town’s storage window where you can store items will appear.

Initially, 16 slots are available at a town’s storage. If you wish to increase them, you can purchase towns’ houses with contribution points and use them for this purpose.
Depending on the house, they can be leveled up. The higher level the house is, the more slots it will offer.

After getting a house in an area, if you set its usage as storage, you can get more town storage slots for the town the house is in, or for the nearest town if the house is for example in a farm.

Keep in mind that items that are bound to the character can’t be moved to a town storage.

Once an item is in the storage it cannot be stolen or disappear.
However, for items that have a price guarantee (such as fish) or an expiration date (such as certain summon scroll and event items), they can decay or expire even if they’re inside a town’s storage, so make sure to remember which items like that you’ve stored.

Below the storage slots you will find a good reference of the value of the items you have stored in that town.

This shows the approximate current Central Market value of the items that you have there, in silver.

View Storage History
With the Storage History feature you can check the records of items deposited or withdrawn from the storages. Through this history, you can check the item deposit and withdrawal records, including the auto-move to storage feature, up to 500.
* The records in this list are only stored on the PC you are playing on.

Transport

As mentioned above, the different town storages in Black Desert’s world are separated by the territory they’re in.
What if you kept a lot of items in the storage of territory A, and you want or need to move them to territory B all of a sudden? Just thinking about it might give you a headache.
For times like these, the transport function exists.

In a storage keeper NPC’s interface, you will see the Transport option (hotkey: 3). If you press it, the Transport window will open.

You will then see two tabs, Status and Send.

The Status tab will let you see the status of all current transport taking place, both for the town you’re in or have selected and overall for all transport around the world.

▲ Here you can see an item being transported from O’draxxia to Old Wisdom Tree.

The Send tab will allow you to move items from one storage to another.
Select a town storage destination, the type of transportation (wagons #1 through #5, and a trade wagon for trade items), and start selecting items from the town storage by right clicking them.

The interface will update you on the number of available wagons, the weight limit of the wagon you’re loading with items at the moment, and the number of available inventory slots it has.

It will also detail the silver transport fee that you’ll be charged for sending the wagon.
If both towns, the one you’re sending items from, and the one receiving the items, are connected via the node system, the transport fee will be cheap, but if not, the transport fee is tripled, though it is good to let you know this amount is symbolic at best.

If you have prepared everything, press the Send button at the bottom and the transport will be queued.

After this, all you have to do is wait. Freight wagons or trade ships that are constantly moving throughout the world will pick up the items when they reach the town they’re in and move them to the town you have selected. As it is a real time procedure, it will take time for it to be completed.

Later on, meet the storage keeper NPC in the destination town and check the status of the transport. If the items have already arrived, you can find them in the transport status right away.
If you press Get All at this point, all of the items that have been sent will be deposited in the destination town’s storage.

This can also be done remotely from the World Map screen (hotkey: M). You can know when the items sent have arrived thanks to the present icon visible at the upper part of the town icon.

The Magnus – Linked Storage

Ever since Adventurers have begun delving into the mysterious realm of the abyss, and structure at its center, it has become possible to more easily, and cheaply, move items between storages.

Due to most cities being connected to the Magnus, you can now move and store items to the storage of other territories, remotely. You can move and store items from your inventory to storages in different territories through the storage keeper NPCs.

This functionality is unlocked territory by territory, gradually, as you proceed with the main questline of the Magnus.

You can also move and store items from your inventory to the town storages in different territories without interacting with a storage keeper NPC through a storage maid.

If you already have items stored in certain city/town storages, you can use the Auto-move function to move all items from your inventory to all storages, including the currently open storage, at once.

Keep in mind that this feature is only available in territories revealed on the map, and is not available for the bandit town of Muiquun.

Remember as well that you cannot store/remove trade/bartering goods, treasure items, and Ornette's/Odore's Spirit Essence (including lesser versions) via this function.

Currency Exchange

If you talk to a storage keeper NPC and press the Currency Exchange option, their NPC shop window will appear, and in it one can purchase and sell gold bars.

Gold bars are required for several features, such as exchanges with certain NPCs for their services. Many quests will also reward you with gold bars, which can have their value transferred to usable silver here.

Keep in mind that the purchase and sale of gold bars is not equal in value, and there is a difference of 0,001% of their value given as interest to the storage keeper when purchasing gold bars from them. For example, purchasing a gold bar valued in 100,000 silver will cost you 100,100 silver, as seen below with the Gold Bar 1G item.

Storage and the Central Market

By pressing the Warehouse button in the storage window, the Central Market warehouse window will open.

This allows you to move silver and items between the town storage & your character’s inventory and the Central Market warehouse.

Workers, Crafting and Storage

While a full explanation is given in the Crafting page, town storages play a vital part of the crafting process in town workshops.
For example, let’s say you buy one house in Eilton and use it as a furniture workshop, and decide you want to craft a few of the local benches, or wardrobes.
In order to craft them, you require certain crafting materials. You need to have these item materials in the town storage so that the workers can find them and use them in the process.

The worker that will carry out the crafting will take the materials from the town they’re from. If you select a worker from Eilton, you need to have the materials in Eilton’s storage. If you instead select a worker from Altinova, you need the materials to be in Altinova’s storage.

▲ This artisan worker from Altinova cannot craft the bench in Eilton because the required materials are not in Altinova’s storage.

Additionally, you can see that certain workers have “Not Connected” in red after their town in the list. For a worker in Altinova to take the materials from Altinova’s storage, go to Eilton, and craft the bench there, both towns need to be connected via the node system.

You can read more about this feature in the [Node] and [Crafting] pages.
