The point is that gamers tend to ruin games when making bad suggestions and the developers cave to these bad suggestions because the devs were too shortsighted to see the suggestion ruining the game experience instead of improving it, like those gamers said it would.

I read this article and it has some eye-opening facts about us, gamers (as a whole):  https://www.thegamer.com/players-optimize-fun-out-of-games/

Here's an interesting excerpt:

"The great thing about taking risks is that - although they imply a chance of loss - they can often lead to a greater sense of triumph if the risk bears reward. However, if given the chance, players can find themselves gravitating, consciously or otherwise, towards a safer route that will guarantee success, even if said route is comparatively unexciting. Basically, why go for the risky route if there’s a safer one that promises a greater chance of survival anyway?

Well, because it's boring. Sometimes, anyway.  Sure, many players will still derive genuine joy out of situations wherein they grind, grind, and grind some more in order to gain a top ranking on the leaderboards. Or perhaps you're in a particularly frustrating battle sequence that you cannot for the life of you get through, so you use the same repetitive tactics or exploit an aspect of the game's mechanics - perhaps even a bug - just so you can finally progress past it. We've all been there.

Basically, if there's even the slightest chance of an easy way out of a given game sequence, many players will latch onto that and milk it for all it's worth. Doing so can mean that a lot of the cool stuff intended by the developers doesn't get to be experienced, and that's sad AF."

This article just makes sense to me, especially from reading all these PVE server request threads being posted recently.  BDO is 7 years strong without one because I think BDO devs are smarter than we give them credit for and know this change would be detrimental to the BDO experience.  Instead, they think of other ways to accomodate these requests instead of a full-on-anti-PVP-anti-PVX-anti-BDO type server.  IDK, I just found the picture I posted in the OP funny as it relates to this article and some really bad (IMO), potentially game-breaking requests being posted in the forum lately.
