I know a huge group of people that just wont play BDO because the servers for english speaking people are only in EU and NA. In Australia\NZ the ping to NA servers is like 200-250 and the ping to SEA non english servers is 250.

Even if they added some BDO servers to the america server list but instead of being in america just have them in west coast, east coast and in  australia i think you would get more people.

Generally i think if BDO had west coast, east coast and Oceanic servers and you could just select them just like how WOW/runescape does it and people can just pick whatever server they want to go into it would be a huge benefit. BDO is just so laggy you need to have more server options it was built in korea where people have like 10 ping and hyper fast internet which is just not the case in the western world.

Just takes some reading between the lines to understand what posts like this are really about. In this case the op is mad he cheesy do stacking no longer allows him to bully non top tier players like he used to. Therefore he is bored he can't button mash and win and the game is dying. He is mad he paid his real money to get his 400 dp to auto win vs most people.

They have removed :

Savage rift

Shadow Arena(even tried making it into its own game)

Altar of Blood

Other content that i have forgotten about probably

A bunch of minor content is your example?  They've added 10 times more than they removed.
The Savage Rift, really?  That was their first and unsuccessful attempt at group dungeon content. We've got a better version now.

2023 and 2024 could possibly pose real problems finally.  One of the reasons for thes stability is not the quality of the game, but rather the lack of competition.  With Diablo 4, Throne and Liberty, and a few other major titles there is a bit of a risk.

As if that has never been said before with other 'major' games.  Some people may pause for awhile for D4, but in the end it they'll burn through it and realize there isn't all that much there.

ive been in atoraxion on release and on bonus chest event, just like savage rift. Only reason ppl do atoraxion are vahas.

Give savage rift 1-2 vaha/week for 1 clear, ppl would clear it as often as atoraxion

I'm just commenting here because these were mentioned and saw some replies hating on it. Y'all obviously never played S.R. and S.A. when they were popping off. Savage Rift was super fun with the right team and actually made a decent amount of money back in 2016. The planning you needed along with the team-work was excellent.

Shadow Arena was a fantastic way to include Black Desert Online in the trending Battle Royale genre, it was a very enjoyable piece of content in-game and the rewards were very good. Standalone was a mess, we can all agree on that. I'm happy they found a way to include it with Magnus though, very cool!

Altar of Blood was an interesting mode, but it wasn't done well. For the first few waves it was fun and the scale in difficulty worked well but it wasn't something everyone could be a part of with the ridiculous jumps in gear-score. It was so bad later on that some Guilds had to bring in cannons to beat the higher waves, remember that?

Anyways, game ain't dying, it's been in a much better place these last two years than it was for the first four years, some of you may be too new to know how bad it was and some might just not remember. There's a hiccup right now with the Twins stuff, we can all agree on that. Content comes and goes, it happens with every MMO really. Hopefully we see these mini-games brought back in a better way one day to increase content for players. Give the team sometime, stuff will slowly be fixed and improved. Just look at Adventurer Feedback Board  and see all the changes already implemented thanks to P.A. working with the community.

Dying? Huh?  I've seen more new/returning players in game this season than I have since I started playing last winter season. And it's not just my imagination, because the Season 1 server is consistently listed as busy, which I never saw before in the previous four seasons I participated in.

Couldn't agree more! Speaking of Shadow Arena, when will Shai get a giant florang to throw? I so want that ability to be ported over to BDO. That aside... These past 2 years were growth years for PA. Sure, they're not perfect and they do act like an indie dev company sometimes but that's part of the process. They're not an established company like SE so they will make a lot more mistakes and it's not like SE is impervious to mistakes, they're taking RMT very seriously and double downed on it recently.

I tried my best these past 2 years to try and support BDO the ways that I could and sometimes the complaints were tough love, but sure enough they listen to player feedback. Under Kakao I couldn't stand this game, it was a mess and that's when you could connect. But under PA it changed like night and day. BDO went from my side girl to my waifu. It's my main MMORPG now and it wouldn't have happened if they didn't do the things they did these past 2 years and finally they are actually giving this game the care that it deserves. Imagine sitting on a game for so many years? Big mistake! This game had so much potential and now that they're exploring that potential it's starting to feel like they're doing a  FF14 1.0 to FF14 2.0 realm reborn transition. It's huge.

Hopefully they will keep this upward trend because this game is promissing and keeps getting better. Sorry OP if you can't grief the way you used to but that's life. By the way, in the past 6 months I've got to say, this community has turned around. I love seeing the positive vibes now. There's still room for improvement and I look forward to seeing this game grow.
