I played BDO a long time ago, and now due to life circumstances, I will have a lot of time to play again, but I have a dilemma when choosing the class to play.

When I played I was Tamer and I loved it although several people told me that Tamer was no good, I could do PvE and small scale PvP, I was never into large scale PvP

What brings me here today, I've seen that depending on the source in 2023 Tamer goes from D Tier up to A+ S-Tier, which doesn't help me at all in my desision... if it's for the taste of the character I like Tamer the style of play I loved the Awakening with the Dandelion Celestial Bo Staff when i played.

My big question is if I play Tamer in 2023 (starting when the new season starts) will I be able to do PvM (Early Mid and Endgame) and small scale PvP like defend my spot in 1v1 or 1v2 for example...

Finally, what I look for in this return to the game is:

PvM (Early, Mid, Endgame)

PvP (Small scale)

Life Skills

thanks in advance to those who participate and suggest an alternative character if Tamer is not viable for what I want from the game. 

P.s: Tryed woosa didnt like the movements/Playstyle...

just to make one thing clear: the best class to play in black desert is always the class you like the most. Even if the meta moves somewhere else, having fun is more important than being the most efficient. It's a game after all. 

To alleviate your concerns, here a small list of how tamer fares atm:

Low end PvE: doable, not great. Horse grinding is still an option though (to some extent)

Mid PvE: Tamer ranges from ok to good

High end PvE: Very much depends on the spot, but she is mid in some spots and extremely good in others. 
Summary: PvE is doable on tamer and she is a very good choice in specific spots. 

PvP 1v1: Still one of the strongest classes in 1v1 due to good movement and iframes and super fast grab with high damage. But she is still squishy and has some forced unprotected times so it needs skill

PvP small scale: good engage and chase potential. Cannot be in the middle of everything though as she will die too quickly. She peels off specific targets extremely well though. 
PvP large scale: not a great option 

For DFS she is quite useful thus, but not too great when entering larger battles.
