Can someone please tell me what "Vision" and "Discovery Radius" are and how they effect gameplay? Can't find info.

They are totally worthless.
They increase the size of that circle on your minimap that shows the icon of the npcs.

Huh. Never really knew. I thought maybe it affected the distance from which one could discover new nodes when exploring. Or maybe that's a side effect of the minimap thing.
NPCs on minimap: not other players, maybe?

I think you're right. Been to Gyfin a couple dozen times before and just went there for the first time since they changed it and discovered Southern kama. Must be for exploration.

Same thing happened to me a few weeks ago, but already had topology at 100%. Sounds like a glitch of some sort with that node.

Tried equip/un-equip my Tomb while I had a mob tag lit up and it changed nothing. also didnt change anything on the mini map...

Just confirmed they are for exploration. Filled a whole crystal preset with vision crystals and I discovered nodes at roughly 3 times the normal distance.
