How would you grief, though? Fish next to me? You are most welcome to join!

Place your farms on top of mine?

We can also share the same path when horse training.

Why shouldn't you be able to whale hunt in peace?  The whales are buggy enough on their own and if you want money, you can go grind for more silver than you can get whaling.  But whaling is one of the group activities in the game where we're actually interacting with other players.  Why do you want to discourage people from doing that?

Also, why are you so bothered by people who just want to play the game in a different way than you?  There are 45 servers. 3 are PVP and 7 have some sort of restriction on accounts/characters.  That leaves 35 servers.

We can go back and forth all day about how many people want PVE servers, but if that number is higher than 3%, then having at least one would be warranted.

Hi Toes! :-)

Yes, they can.  But if some players would rather deal with that than being killed repeatedly, then having the choice is not a bad idea.  Nobody says all servers need to be PvE. In fact, if they make some servers PvE, then the PvP rules can be loosened up again for those who want it as well.

It's not one or the other, on regular channels both situations can happen.

So back to the same idea again, if you remove one possible kind of interruption, you should have less rewards on your hunt. Still OK?

oh well, if they want to waste their time trying to grind over someone else it hurts them just as much as the person they're griefing by cutting into their own silver/hr

Because the player using pk and having to get rid of his karma is not cutting into their own silver/hr?

No matter what you say, pk and ks are the exact same kind of "forced" competition.

I still dont know where u all get engaged in forced pvp all the time. Last time I was PKed without fault of my own was years ago...why is still still a problem? Maybe its time to consider if you are the reason ppl rather lose karma?
If its on a grindspot, just go into privat hour...if its horsetraining? go into a savezone...

Honestly I'd love if there was 1-2 PvE servers so all the people who refuse DFS or get mad about people activating PK can chill there together. Additionally move every person who is afk for longer than 10 minutes on a nodewar/siege server during nodewar time away so they don't suck up the performance by feeling the need to afk fish on Serendia 1.

Many of the PvE enjoyers here seem to forget how much you can get griefed at spots like Mirumoks without the other person activating Alt+C, be sure people will always find a way to annoy you no matter how child proof you're trying to make it. Most of the unpleasant interactions I had with other players weren't people killing me but griefers running into my rotation, activating the Mirumok pillars ahead, pulling mobs to my horse, abducting fish chars on a boat, standing in the middle of the road so autopathers get stuck etc.

Killing someone is already a much bigger risk than getting killed and another karma change is on the way to make people even more hesitant to activate Alt+C, don't know where you find all the evil people hunting you down but at least on EU that rarely happens. Sure, someone might knock you off the horse but if you plan to go afk for multiple hours I can show you at least 3 long safe zone routes with no chance to be kicked off and better performance than running around Heidel. Getting kicked off while questing is barely an inconvenience, just mount up again and go on, I doubt anyone would follow you for hours unless you immediately chat pvp them.

If you're simply refusing to accept there's ways to prevent getting PKed I'd be more than happy that everyone who gets mad about someone possibly killing them have their own server or even server group because that would increase the performance and have less griefers on normal and arsha servers. It's not like there would be a lot of player interaction currently anyways.
