I'd rather not see real life political and ideological matters stay out of the game...

For me, movies, books, games and so on should be allowed to have their own world. Real life should not project its issues on a work of art or entertainment , and conversely. 

That's why I disagree with you. BDO should live through its own world, its own strengths and flaws, its own contradictions and horrors.

To give you an example, even the memes contest sounded awful to me, it's desperately plain and connected too much to real life and some of its excesses. I'd rather see events linked to BDO lore, than a lousy meme contest. Too disconnected from the world our characters are suppose to live in.

so footbal worldcup event and national flags are fine?
so easter event and rabbits and eggs are fine?

so pumpkings, ghosts and halloween are fine?

so snow, christmas, presents, the grinch and santa are fine?

so PI day, lunar new year, western new year, thanksgiving, valentine day are fine?

pride month and christopher street day are not fine -> Which is a big statement for freedom, peace and human rights??? Tell me one reason why this should not be fine! Just one!.

You wont win luna, bdo has one very important thing about its community its openly toxic as heck, its why i wouldnt bother engaging them. host your own pride events in game rp style. that way if any of them screw with it you can just report them for gameplay disruption. too many bigots and phobes in this game to try and clean it up
