Adventurers' Oasis Like No Other!
Where journeys intertwine and create unforgettable memories
Adventurers’ Oasis in Los Angeles was a special time for our Adventurers to come together, share laughs, and make unforgettable memories. The event was filled with excitement, heart, and plenty of fun from beginning to end. Hearing all the stories our Adventurers shared felt like we were one big family.
Special shoutout to the Adventurers who traveled far and wide to experience this special milestone with us! From Feral__Feo who drove over 30 hour across the country, to StrykeWraith who had an unfortunate encounter with airport food... We appreciate the efforts you made to ensure you'd make it to the event in time!

On stage, we got to celebrate a birthday together! In the spur of the moment, Adventurers came together as a community to sing Happy Birthday to Chief, giving off a super warm and cozy vibe ( ⸝⸝´ ᵕ `⸝⸝)
Congratulations! 💞
But the most unforgettable moment of all was a surprise proposal that filled the room with excitement and an ocean of happy tears. It was a perfect reminder of what makes Adventurers' Oasis events so special.
So many great moments! We interviewed five Adventurers who went to Adventurers’ Oasis in LA to hear about their experience, what stood out to them most, and the memories they’ll be taking with them long after the event.

We're so happy you were all able to attend Adventurers' Oasis in LA! Thank you for taking the time to answer some questions! Is this your first time at an Adventurers' Oasis? How did you feel prior to attending?
|

Mirths Yes! It was my first offline gaming event of any kind. I always saw pictures or the limited coverage of them and thought they looked so fun but kept making excuses whenever they would come up, but this year I made the commitment and I was lucky enough to get selected to go and I'm so appreciative of the opportunity, it was amazing!

Chisien Yes! This was my first ever time going to an Adventurer's Oasis, or any BDO IRL event. I was super excited to attend and it gave me some of the best memories ive ever had with BDO.

Dhlimir This was my 2nd Adventurers' Oasis event, I was very fortunate to attend the previous event in Texas, last March. Both events were uniquely great in their own ways, and the changes from the last event to the this past event in LA not only show a dedication to improvement, but also creativity in the activities planned.

I see we have both first timers and returnees! Happy to see returning and new faces alike!
This time we did something a little different and encouraged groups of either friends or guildies to come together! Did you meet any in-game friends, guildies, or Adventurers you knew at AO? How did it feel to meet them?
|

Kuma_Queen I've met a lot of in-game friends from these events! The first time I meet someone from BDO I'm like OMG IT'S YOU! I really liked that they gave us headbands with our names on it (and life skill rankings for bragging rights LOL) I always ask for a picture with them so I can keep it for precious memories. Since many of the Oasis events have been in SoCal, I would use that weekend to hang out with my BDO friends before and after the Oasis! Shout out to everyone that hung out with me that weekend and everyone that I met for the first time! I hope to meet more adventures in the next one.

Chisien I met a bunch of in-game friends and people ive met around! Some notable ones are the players from Family, Ahzure, Czane, Zanti, and tons of others. It was such a surreal experience and it felt so awesome to be able to put a face to the name of people that I've spent so much time with in BDO. It really meant the world to me to see everybody.

Dhlimir Not only did I get a chance to meet old friends and guildies, the event enabled the forging of many new friendships. Having time to interact with fellow players is such a unique experience, as BDO is more of a niche game in an already niche market. So having fellow adventurers who understand those late night taps, those one more hour of grinding moments (surely that compass piece will drop), the cheer of big drops, and celebration of node war victory is an amazing experience. The immediate connection you can have with fellow adventurers is uncanny, since you both enjoy and understand the wide world of BDO, it is like talking to old friends.

We're delighted to hear that everyone was able to socialize with familiar names! Putting a face to a name really makes it memorable!
We always love to give out merch to all of our Adventurers who attend! What's your favorite piece of merch from AO?
|

Dhlimir The Otter/Papu blankets are so CUTE! Those are in the running, but I think the favorite would be the class cards. So simple but refined and ever elusive at the event. It also enables more interaction between everyone, since the hunt for your class card will lead you far and wide to find it. Much like GM's hiding about the world, those cards are IRL treasures!

Anachronous My favorite merch were the class cards. I originally started with a Woosa and walked around to different teams to find a Corsair, but was unlucky. Eventually an irl night vendor/card enthusiast, FrogEnjoyer, passed by and I challenged him to find a Corsair card. He legit found one in a couple minutes. What a legend!

Chisien If i had to choose just one, I would have to go with the Papu hoodie/cloak. It is extremely soft and really cute! it's perfect for sitting in my room on a cold day and grinding BDO.

As a trading card enjoyer, I really love seeing everyone with their favorite Class Card! 😊
We asked everyone to team up and participate in our group activities! What was your favorite activity from AO?
|

Anachronous The best event had to be the icebreaker event that allowed me to get to know my team. I was able to see how different every one of us played the game, each with their own specialties. A close second event was the "Guess the grind spot" event. I may have been the least knowledgeable, but I trusted my team!

Mirths I loved the BDO drawing/Pictionary event, it was super difficult sometimes but I think it was the most fun activity we did. I think it was timed really well to come out later in the evening too when everyone may have loosened up a bit.

Dhlimir It was, without a doubt, the Campfire Stories activity. During the event, we were encouraged to write our own stories onto cards and place them into an "Abyssal" wishing well located at the center of the event. I was so wrapped up in all of the other activities, I FORGOT to write a story, however those that were selected really exemplified the best that the BDO community has to offer and the varied nature of its players. In the end, we are all stories, and having the chance to have ours told to others is always a magical moment.

So many great activites! Happy to hear that each one was enjoyed! Seeing all our Adventurers socializing really made me smile. What are your thoughts on the event overall?
|

Kuma_Queen For my overall thoughts on the most recent Adventurers' Oasis, I really loved how prepared and organized the BDO Team is. Parking and instructions on how to get to the venue was really clear, check in process was super easy! It's nice that they provide drink tickets, dinner (good food!), and the best of all, dessert. I also think it's so cool to see all the GMs and CMs hanging out and working to make sure we're all having a good time. I also really like that they always take a group picture at the end and provide an area with a back drop to take pictures with others. I'm really grateful and appreciate the effort the BDO team members put into these events for us!

Anachronous Overall, the event was better than I expected. It would've been perfect if my team won 1st in the competition, though! The venue was great. The food was excellent. And the atmosphere had great vibes.

Mirths It was a wonderful experience! I thought the venue was really cool, it didn't feel too big or too small, all of the staff was so amazing. I want to shout out the MC she did such a great job, being up on stage like that and wrangling the crowd all night long could not be easy and she was great at it. All the staff ,CMs, and GMs mingling around to each table and staying around afterwards to chat was so cool, it was a pretty late night!

I'm so thrilled that Adventurers' Oasis has been such a wonderful experience for everyone! If you could pick one thing, what was the most memorable part of AO event for you?
|

Chisien I would say the most memorable part for me was the campfire stories, where adventurers came up and told us their favorite moments and what made BDO so special to them. The part that stands out the most is the two adventurers who got engaged on stage, and how BDO was such an integral part of their life and relationship.

Kuma_Queen The most memorable part of AO would have to be the activity games we played with our teams. It was so fun because whichever team got the most points would get a prize. (If there's a prize you know I'm try harding LOL) Honestly, being able to meet new players I may never seen before, or maybe I've heard of them but never got to meet them, was another memorable part of the event. The activities make it fun, but I could just sit there all day talking to players and staff, learning more about them and why they love BDO.

Mirths The thing that will stand out most to me has to be the onstage proposal. I think it was definitely unexpected and much props to the guy for making the most of the opportunity, my best wishes to the happy couple! Also shout out to the winner of the graphics card too since I heard he gave it to them as a wedding present which is crazy cool of him.

 |

That proposal was so sweet it made me tear up! 🥹 Amazing stories, thank you once again for taking the time to answer! One last question, would you come back to the next offline event? If yes, where would you like the next event to be held?
|

Mirths I would love to see it in Chicago! I just hope I get picked again to go because after being able to experience an offline BDO event I can't wait for the next one!

Kuma_Queen Yes I definitely would go to the next offline event! I enjoy the events being held in LA/SoCal area because it's a nice vacation for me and I can see my local friends there. However, if they would host an event in NorCal that would be even sweeter! SF or San Jose would be cool and I could take my friends out since I'd be a local instead!

Dhlimir Absolutely, without a doubt, I would like to attend the next offline event! The next event, which I do believe would be the Heidel Ball, should be held in Canary, TX!

Anachronous I had more fun than I expected and definitely will be looking to join more of the next offline events. LA would be nice again since it's near me! 🙂

Chisien I can't wait to come back to another offline event! Since I'm currently in California, I would like the next event to be in San Diego / Los Angeles / Las Vegas areas.
