General Information

Succession Mystic relies on chaining her prime skills together in quick succession to build Martial Spirit shards before spending them on hard hitting damage skills.

Below I've listed several combos that can be used depending on your situation, but one general tip I will provide is that Succession Mystic has a lot of room for freestyle.

So long as you keep in mind the basics of PvP combat such as the CC limit and how long each respective CC lasts, you can create your own combos to best suit your current situation.

Addons:

The general rule of thumb when it comes to addons is you want to avoid any overlap. With that being said there are many instances where you cannot rely on certain skills so having one or two redundant addons is okay depending on the circumstances that you are planning for.

Here is an example of my addons that I use for PvP:


Grab Combo #1: The Bread and Butter

Grab > Rage Hammer > Thunder Pound > Cancel into Hidden Claw > Wave Orb > Somersault > Tornado Kick > Sweeping Kick > Thunder Pound > Unbridled Wrath > Elbow Edge > Roaring Tiger

Pros:
High Damage with multiple downsmashes at the end of the combo. Wave Orb hits the target with a full set of Martial Spirit shards for additional damage. Has the potential to extend into another full combo if you land enough downsmashes to reset your target's CC limit timer.

Cons:
There are several unprotected moments in this combo, notably during Hidden Claw. This combo is most effective in 1v1 scenarios or moments where no one is around to pressure you while you're focusing on your target. It also relies on downsmashes at the end of the combo, which give your opponent an opportunity to grab you upon getting up if none of the downsmashes land.

Grab Combo 2: The Safer Option

Grab > Rage Hammer > Soul Basher > Thunder Pound > Wave Orb > Scissor Kick > Tornado Kick > Twisted Collision > Sea Burial

Pros:
Almost pure super armor state save for Thunder Pound's and Twisted Collision's forward guard. To best minimalize the chance of being pressured or CC'd off of your target, you can flash step or silent step to put any would be attackers in front of you to prevent them from CCing you out of your combo during Thunder Pound. Twisted Collision is immediately canceled into Sea Burial which minimizes it's forward guard state. This combo also delivers a three shard Wave Orb alongside a three shard Sea Burial for large damage. 

Cons:
Not as much damage as the bread and butter. There is also no real potential for a proper CC reset through downsmashes. It is important to note that you are not immune to grabs unless you're in an i-frame so be prepared to use silent step to avoid a grab. This combo can also feel clunky when it comes to the keybinds, leaving room for mis-inputs if you're not careful (this is especially noticable between Twisted Collision and Sea Burial).

KD/Stun Opener Combo #1: Bread and Butter variantion

Thunder Pound/Mass Destruction > Rage Hammer  > Hidden Claw > Wave Orb > Somersault > Tornado Kick > Sweeping Kick > Thunder Pound > Unbridled Wrath > Elbow Edge > Roaring Tiger

Pros:
Easy on the muscle memory, the only difference from the Bread and Butter being you open with either Thunder Pound or Mass Destruction rather than a grab. This combo carries all of the same benefits as the Bread and Butter combo.

Cons:
Since this combo relies on Thunder Pound or Mass Destruction as an opening CC, it's important to keep track of which skill you used to get the first CC on your target as you don't want to have any dead time in your combo to maximize the damage you deal. This combo also carries the same drawbacks as the Bread and Butter combo, making it most useful during 1v1 scenarios.

KD/Stun Opener Combo #2: Safer Option variation

Thunder Pound/Mass Destruction > Rage Hammer > Soul Basher > Thunder Pound > Wave Orb > Scissor Kick > Tornado Kick > Twisted Collision > Sea Burial

Pros:
Pretty much the same story as the Safer Option combo listed above; doesn't rely on a grab to initiate the combo.

Cons:

Similar to the Safer Option combo above, this combo deals less damage than the bread and butter. It also relies on personal control to linger Rage Hammer for a moment before using Soul Basher into Thunder Pound. The reason we do this is we want to avoid the downsmash on Soul Basher's last kick. If the downsmash lands and we immediately Thunder Pound our opponent, they will be stiffened which will put them over the CC limit if we opened the combo with Thunder Pound's stiffen into knock down to begin with. Rather than trying to mentally track which of our CCs from Thunder Pound lands first, it's better to just develop the habit of lingering Rage Hammer for a moment as it is a useful habit to have when it comes to playing Succession Mystic.

Perfect Blow can be canceled into Flash Step. This is very good at catching people off guard by either going for a grab or fishing for a stiffen with Elbow Edge. Be careful though since Elbow Edge has no protection to it.

Perfect Blow can also be canceled into Mass Destruction. Using good camera manipulating it becomes a quick way to get behind an opponent's forward guard.

Perfect Blow can be followed up by Twisted Collision for a float. This is a good way to fish for a CC while blocking chip damage.

I recommend following up immediately with Sea Burial to avoid any gaps in protection.

And last but not least, get into the habit of pressing S after using Crouching Wolf as it's an i-frame. Using Crouch Wolf at the end of every one of these combos listed above will give you an i-frame that you can use to reposition or dodge a potential "wake up" grab.

You can use Soul Basher or Thunder Pound immediately after the i-frame to maintain super armor or fish for a CC.
