What is Item Copy?

Item Copy lets you share a designated character’s gear with another tagged character. Copy your main character’s best gear to a new class you wish to try, and use the same gear on both!

Family-Shared Gear: Item Copy

Item Copy lets your main character’s gear become available to a tagged character as well.
If you ever wished to don your hard-earned gear on another class/character, simply tag them and embark on a new adventure in Black Desert today.

Tagging Characters

To proceed with “Item Copy,” you must first set up Character Tag and complete the prerequisite quest.
Refer below to get started.

▲ Place both characters in the same town, then LMB the ”Tag Characters” button on the top-left corner of your screen

▲ Select the character to tag, then click “Tag”

* Please note the following when tagging characters.

- The two tagged characters will move together and always share the same location.
By enabling the “Travel Separately” option, each tagged character can move independently.
- You can only untag characters in the town where you first set up the tag.
- Tagged characters cannot trade trade goods.
- Both characters must be at least Lv. 7.
- Any EXP gained by one tagged character is also gained by the other.

▲ In the Tag Characters UI, press “Get EXP” to claim the EXP earned by your tagged character.

Complete the "Black Spirit's Gift (Marni's Suspicious Device)" prerequisite quest

- After tagging your characters, summon the Black Spirit (,) and complete the "Black Spirit's Gift (Marni's Suspicious Device)" quest to unlock Item Copy.
* Can be accepted via the Black Spirit (,) with a character of Lv. 58 or higher after completing Black Spirit's Gift (Naderr's Band).

Once you’ve met both requirements, the “Item Copy” button will appear in the Tag Characters menu.

To use Item Copy, you’ll need Marni’s Unstable Fuel, which can be purchased for 10
million Silver from Old Moon Manager NPCs in any major city.

The amount of Marni’s Unstable Fuel needed for Item Copy is calculated as below,
but during the event period, only 1 Marni’s Unstable Fuel is required!

Item Copy Cost Formula

(Total market price of 3 weapons) x 0.15% + Number of Caphras Stones used on the 3 weapons x 2,000 Silver

But during the event period:

Marni’s Unstable Fuel x1

- Normally, a minimum of 10 Marni’s Unstable Fuels is required, but during the event, only 1 is needed.
- Gear used for Item Copy and copied gear cannot be stored in storage or registered on the Central Market.

- Character-bound outfits (e.g., Calpheon Noble Dress)
- Tuvala gear (Season exclusive)
- Naru gear
- Main quest reward gear

- Time-limited gear
- Gear rented with CP
- Gear incompatible with Weapon Exchange Coupons
- Shai's Sol
- Life Skill tools equippable in main/sub-weapon slots (e.g., matchlocks)
