Hi! I’m Rika, also known as LordSnaxx.
I'm a backend software developer and cosplayer from Germany, and I've been cosplaying for about 10 years, with a special passion for bringing video game characters to life.
About the cosplay
When the Drakania class was first released in Black Desert Online, I was instantly hooked. I’ve always loved dragons, so her design, lore, and presence in the game immediately captivated me, and she quickly became my main.
Inspired by her powerful look, I began working on the cosplay in January 2022. I didn’t expect it to become the biggest and most ambitious project I’ve ever taken on, but it absolutely did. By October 2024, I had poured over 1,000 hours into crafting it.
The armor is made from EVA foam and Worbla, reinforced and decorated with LEDs to recreate the glowing elements true to her in-game appearance. I even embroidered LED filament into the fabric to mimic the radiant effects from the game, a fun but technically tricky detail that I'm really proud of.
While there are still a few finishing touches in progress, I'm genuinely proud of what I’ve achieved. Wearing the full set makes me feel powerful, confident… and honestly, pretty badass.

Hi everyone,
I'm Maddie, also known as fenriscosplay, and I’ve been cosplaying for 8 years now! I started getting into Black Desert Online (BDO) cosplay a little over 4 years ago, and my main classes are Maegu and Sorceress.
At first, I was always intimidated by armor builds, so I stuck to sewing-based projects. I’ve done a lot of cosplays from League of Legends and various anime series, but lately, my passion for those fandoms has started to fade. Why? Let me show you:
Sorceress – Lumik Outfit
Three years ago, I decided to challenge myself and start my very first armor cosplay. The first character that came to mind was the Lumik Sorceress from BDO. I worked on the cosplay during hours of AFK fishing (true BDO multitasking!).
Back then, I had no idea how to build armor, but I knew one thing: I didn’t want it to fall apart. So… I made the whole thing out of Worbla. Worst idea ever.
Worbla is a thermoplastic that you heat and shape, but once it cools, it becomes rigid. Which was a big problem, because while I could walk, my arm movement was super limited. Lesson learned!

Valkyrie – Ossa Ceberi
At the beginning of this year, I decided to try another BDO armor cosplay. This time, I knew what to avoid:
No. More. Worbla.
I bought around 4 meters of 2mm EVA foam and made the entire cosplay from it. It was way easier than I expected, and the best part? I could actually move in it!
That said, it almost drove me insane, especially the wolf head on the breastplate. (BDO, please release 3D models, I’m begging you 😭.)
After re-patterning it three times, I finally decided to learn 3D modeling. Two weeks later, I managed to print the wolf head, and it looked so much better! After that, it was all about priming, painting, and sealing.
This Valkyrie cosplay is, without a doubt, my best work so far, and I even won a competition with it! I created all the patterns myself and did tons of research with the help of the Pearl Store. Honestly, I think about 60% of my BDO playtime now is just AFK fishing while crafting.

What’s Next?
One of the things I love most about BDO is the variety; there are casual outfits, stunning robes, and incredibly detailed armor sets. But for me, it’s the armor that really captures my heart.
That’s why I’m already planning my next project: a Nova skin!
Feel free to follow along and see my progress over on my account.
Thanks for reading, and happy crafting!

Hi! My name is Anastasia, and I’ve been cosplaying for six years now.
What I love most is creating detailed armor and weapons, especially when the costume has a complex, high-quality design.
I couldn’t resist the costumes from Black Desert Online; they’re absolutely stunning! The intricate designs and elegant aesthetics really stand out, and I already have a long list of BDO outfits I’d love to make.
One that immediately caught my eye was the Valkyrie costume. It’s full of beautiful details and features a striking color combination, but what truly won me over was the shield. I instantly fell in love with it.
To this day, the Valkyrie remains my favorite cosplay!

Hi! My name is Jenni, I’m 25 years old and I live in Germany.
I started cosplaying back in 2016, and it’s been a creative passion of mine ever since.
When the Guardian class was released in Black Desert Online, I immediately fell in love with her design, a powerful woman wielding a massive axe, draped in fur, with just the right touch of boldness and beauty. It was the perfect mix for a cosplay project, and I knew I had to bring her to life.
The costume includes a lot of faux fur and EVA foam, with the bear head on the back mostly sculpted from foam clay. It was also my first time using body paint on my face, which was a new and exciting challenge.
The whole build took about six months, with a few extra weeks to complete the axe and shield. That was probably back in 2022.
The first time I tried on the full cosplay, I was completely overwhelmed with emotion. I felt so strong and beautiful, just like the Guardian in the game. It created a deep connection between me and the character, and even now, this cosplay remains one of my absolute favorites.

Hey! ♥ What’s up?
I’m ViickyScarlet, an artist and cosplayer from Spain, part of the SonicOfHyrule family. I've been cosplaying for over 10 years now, bringing to life my favorite characters from the games I love. One of those games is Black Desert Online, which I started playing in 2020. Since then, it has become a meaningful part of my life and creative journey.
During the pandemic, a time many of us will never forget, I discovered Black Desert. I created my first characters, dove into the world, and fell in love with it. I chose the Archer class and named him EruScarlet. I leveled him up, geared him up, explored the lore through quests, and yes... I grinded for hours, hehe.
I also discovered how much I enjoyed capturing the beauty of the game’s world through screenshots. At first, I kept them to myself, I didn’t talk on the forums or join the official Discords. But the world of BDO inspired me deeply. I began imagining Eru’s personality, his origins, his travels, and how he would interact with the world around him.
Creating stories and characters has always been a passion of mine, one I had neglected for a while. Writing again filled a creative void I didn’t even realize had grown so big. And with that came the urge to draw Eru, too. Over time, I saw real improvement in my art, and it brought me so much joy.
Eventually, I joined a roleplay community, and that’s when Black Desert opened up in a completely new way. I was no longer just playing the game, I was living in it, forging my own story.
I played my class.
I enjoyed a great game.
I found a community where I felt at home.
And I unlocked a creative side of me I hadn’t touched in years.
For me, cosplaying is a tribute, a way to honor a character and a story that has touched my heart. Over the years, Eru became more than just a character. He became a symbol of everything I love about creating. I realized it was time to bring him to life.
So in July 2024, I began work on the cosplay. I bought the fabrics, started drafting patterns, sewing, cutting, sanding, gluing, painting... piece by piece, I brought his Luanwulf outfit to life, along with the Greatbow and other accessories. It was an ambitious project, but I felt ready for the challenge.
I chose the Luanwulf outfit because it’s not only one of the most iconic and beloved Archer costumes in the game, but also the one that best represents Eru, a forest elf, a guardian of nature.
The entire process, with photos and details, is shared on the official forum.
Everything is handmade. I don’t have a fancy workshop or a big budget. I’m not a professional seamstress, just someone who saves where she can and pours her heart into every project.
And… the dream came true.
I brought Eru to several events in Madrid. I stepped onto stages and performed in shows I’ll never forget. Even after injuring my foot in May, I managed to recover in time to appear at my final event in June, where I received a special mention. It was magical.
But honestly, I already felt like I had won the moment I debuted the cosplay back in February. With every photo and video, every pose, every step holding the bow in one hand and the arrow-spear in the other, I felt victorious.
In the smiles of my friends.
In the amazed faces of people who recognized the character because they, too, were players.
In all of those small, unforgettable moments.
The journey was long, at times slow, and emotionally intense. I had incredible highs and crushing doubts. There were days I felt like I wasn’t good enough. And then there were moments where I’d look in the mirror, see my red paint, my elf ears, my armor... and feel like the happiest person alive.
The effort was 100% worth it, and then some.
Thanks to these events, I met friends in person. I never stopped drawing. I kept taking in-game screenshots. I even graduated in web development this year! It’s been a year of transformation, and this cosplay represents all of it.
I’m so deeply thankful for all the love and support my elf has received.
Thank you for the memories I’ll carry in my heart.
And thank you to the Black Desert Online team for giving me the chance to share this story.
See you in the forests of Kamasylvia, and in the world of Black Desert.

Hi there! I’m Sietske, a cosplayer from the Netherlands.
I grew up surrounded by creativity, and over time, I fell in love with cosplay, a hobby that lets me fully immerse myself in incredible characters and bring their designs to life, right down to the tiniest details. And as we all know, Black Desert Online definitely doesn’t lack in detail!
My first main class in the game was the Valkyrie, and she’s still one of my favorites to play. The moment I saw her iconic blue dress, I thought, “Why not turn that into a fun little cosplay project?”
Oh, how wrong I was to call it little!
The deeper I studied the outfit, the more intricate details I discovered, and I was determined to capture every single one. From foam armor covered in Thibra to custom-printed fabric, this costume turned into one of my most ambitious and proudest creations to date.
One of my favorite parts is the engraved armor, though if I’m being honest... the shoes might secretly be my top favorite!
I still have a long list of Black Desert costumes I’d love to make.
One day... one day!

Hello!
I'm DrawMeaCosplay, a Belgian cosplayer creating costumes since 2013. But I'm not working alone, I’ve teamed up with my mom and my boyfriend. Together, we’ve brought to life four different Ranger outfits from Black Desert: Ignis, Marod Star, the Christmas Dress, and the one you see here, Bern.
I’ve been playing Black Desert for quite some time now, and Ranger has always been my main class. I just love how graceful, fast, and versatile she is in combat! If you’re a fellow Ranger fan, you should definitely check out our other armor sets.
About the Cosplay
In 2023, my team and I celebrated our 10th cosplay anniversary, and we wanted to mark the occasion with a costume that showcased everything we’ve learned over the years. The Bern armor was the perfect challenge for that!
We worked with pleather, sculpted details using FIMO paste and foam clay, crafted armor pieces with Worbla, and even made a custom bow, quiver, and dagger. This project had it all, and it took us six months to complete.
Some of my favorite parts are:
- The bow – I loved creating the wood effect with paint.
- The cape – Even though painting the pattern took days, it was worth every minute.
- The quiver – Fun fact: it started as a pizza box, then got covered with a dyed tapestry (for color accuracy), pleather, and armor details.
- The pants – Painting every detail by hand was time-consuming, but the final look made it worth it!
The most challenging pieces? Definitely the elbow armor (so tricky to pattern!) and the top, we chose to use furniture-grade pleather, which was incredibly difficult to work with.
I truly hope the final result makes every Ranger fan out there proud!

Hi! I'm Scarpy, a 32-year-old cosplayer with over a decade of experience in the cosplay world.
I’ve always been passionate about video games, character design, and the art of bringing fictional characters to life. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to showcase my work at international events like Gamescom in Germany, as well as at numerous conventions across Catalonia.
Cosplay is more than just a hobby for me, it’s a way to challenge myself creatively, embody inspiring characters, connect with fellow fans, and continuously learn with every project I take on.
Since becoming a mother, I’ve had to take a step back from the scene, but my love for cosplay has never faded. I hope to dedicate more time to it again in the near future.
About the Cosplay
A few years ago, my ex-husband and I started playing Black Desert, and I was instantly drawn to its stunning character designs. The aesthetics were absolutely perfect in my eyes. We eventually chose two characters to cosplay: Musa and Maehwa, a duo that stood out to us because of their complementary elements: fire and ice.
After countless hours of hard work, we finally completed the costumes. Since then, those cosplays have taken us on so many adventures: from photoshoots and video recordings to losing (and remaking!) parts of the costumes. We even traveled to Gamescom in Germany two years in a row to showcase them. They’ve also been featured in Barcelona and at several local events across Catalonia, and I hope to keep wearing them for many more years to come.
One of the most rewarding parts of this experience has been connecting with Black Desert cosplayers from all over the world. We even had the chance to meet some of the amazing people from the Pearl Abyss and Kakao Games team, an unforgettable experience. I'm incredibly proud to have brought these characters to life and grateful for everything these cosplays have allowed me to experience.
