I believe that the Black Desert+ companion app for mobile does not receive enough attention by developers. In particular, I think that some of its existing features, namely the integration of the guild chat as well as the beauty album, lay down a great foundation of what the app should be capable of: communicating with friends and acquaintances, seeing their online statuses, looking at beauty album posts and liking them.

But there is a lot more potential with two similar systems, which could be added to the app as well: The in-game friend list and its built-in offline conversation system, as well as the in-game photo gallery.

1. Friend List

While guild chat is used a lot for communication with guild members, friends mostly communicate using whispers, which requires both parties to be online in-game. But another message system that also works with offline players already exists: the message system of the friend list. It already has a format which is suited for mobile devices and could be smoothly integrated into the Black Desert+ app, allowing us to see if our friends are online and talking with them directly inside their game.

Having the friend list inside the app would also allow friends to see who is currently online, similar to what is already possible with the guild chat integration, which features a member list showing online statuses of all members.

2. Photo Gallery

The in-game photo gallery works very similar to the beauty album, featuring recent and popular work, creator rankings as well as likes, comments and views/downloads. Adding it to the app would make it more accessible, allowing anyone to view, like and add comments to people's posts using their phones, as well as provide a way for creators to see how their posts are performing at any time. This would benefit the photo gallery, where currently many posts don't receive many views and likes at all, likely due to how hidden the system is in-game.

These two systems would be great additions to the Black Desert+ companion app, facilitating communications and bringing more life to existing in-game systems that sometimes tend to be forgotten about. I have also created another feedback post about much needed improvements for the guild chat feature of the app. I hope that this feedback will be reviewed and more development efforts will go towards this app to make it an even more powerful companion to the game.

 I definitely agree with all you wrote in this post.

The Black Desert App is super well made and usefull, But we can surely improve it adding those functionalities that you talk about here. Having the possibility to answer whispers directly with app would be awesome. And that's the exact same about photo gallery, Wich is pretty unconsistant in game right now. Im pretty convinced that putting it on Black Desert app will be easier for people overall, Wich is a good thing to make it more attractive.
