Announcing BDOvision 2023, an event to celebrate our musically gifted Adventurers!
From July 7 (Fri) until July 29 (Sat), you can sign up and create a song with the Shai Music Feature as a representative of a city within the World of Black Desert, which you'll then perform live on our Twitch stream on August 5 (Sat). What song you want to perform is up to you, as long as it's original, in the public domain, or a combination of both!
Of course, a city can have just one representative, so you best be quick to claim your hometown. Find all the details below on how to claim a city and participate. But first...

How are winners selected?
Winners will be selected based on three different judges: The Pearl Abyss staff, CM Endlaive, and Twitch Chat. Each of these are weighed equally and the combined score will determine the winners. Of course, the bonus prize remains 100% based on Twitch chat.
How do I claim a city and participate?
The event begins on July 7, and you can claim a city on that date at 16:00 UTC. Here's how:
Join our [Discord server]. On July 7 at 16:00 UTC, the participation channel
#BDOvision-signup will open.
There, post your top 3 preferences of in-game cities/towns/villages you wish to represent.
Remember! First come, first serve.
Confirmed participants will get access to a special Discord channel with staff for questions and live event coordination.
From that moment, you have a little over 3 weeks (until July 29 at 23:59 UTC) to compose and submit your music. You can do this by uploading a video of your music to YouTube and posting the URL in the special discord channel. Additionally, upload the song to the in-game music album.
A week later, you will perform your song from your home on our Twitch livestream on August 5 at a time that will be announced soon.

Additional Notices
- The nature of this event is to create original music. Covers or versions of songs that are copyrighted are not eligible for this event. Songs that are in the public domain are eligible for remixing or reimagining.
- Winner rewards are only given to the composer/creator of the music. Any additional band members are not eligible for the winner rewards. However, band members are eligible for participation rewards.
- Pearl Abyss reserves the right to change or cancel the event depending on mitigating circumstances. If changes are made, they can be found on this event page.
- Pearl Abyss reserves the right to the ownership of adaptation rights for all screenshots, videos, and all other content submitted for this event. Pearl Abyss may also use these contents at its own discretion for promotional purposes without restrictions to time or location.
- If you are found to have participated in the event in an inappropriate way, such as stealing another person’s work or infringing upon another’s copyright, you will be disqualified from the event and have any prizes withdrawn even after the winners announcement.
- The number of winners is subject to change depending on the number of event participants.
- Pearl Abyss reserves the right to change the event prizes without prior notice depending on the circumstances.
- If your account is restricted for violating the Operational Policy before you receive the event prizes, you may be disqualified as a winner and have any prizes withdrawn even after being selected as a winner.
- Event items may have restrictions (sale/trade) and/or different binding settings/expiration dates. Due to this reason, these items cannot be transferred or restored.
- For details such as whether the item is bound, please refer to the in-game item description.
- Items and/or rewards that were used or collected normally cannot be recovered.
- Participating in the event using inappropriate methods may result in a cancellation/retrieval of your reward(s) and/or restriction from the game.
