You know - maybe we (players who want to) should do an informal get together of sorts before Ratt fades into the mists. Have to be a weekend soon, and just for people to arrive and blow a little time hanging out to crowd the place with alts and ships. Maybe do some SMH and fishing and underwater gathering. Invite the pirates too, we could watch sea battles from the shore.
Just in general take a chunk of time away from the grind to chill and get screenshots before its gone.
I've had an alt out there a while now, hoping to be one of the first through the gates. I wonder what will happen to her when the earth moves out from under her feet.
Just brought my Corsair out there for the party: she's ready to go! All we need to do is estabish a time! GM's are definitely invited!!!! Devloper's can come too!
(Maybe they'll rethink nuking this special place!)
In all seriousness: what really needs changing? Just rename the place, and rework a little architechture? Sure, sounds fine.
But to level the place entirely? This place is magical!!! I want to explore the Land of Morning Light after seeing this place! The area they propose to swap it with? I'm not inclined at all to explore further. Sorry. Looks ... meh.....

The explorable area of Port Ratt is tiny, but it is definitely beautiful. Like others here, I imagined climbing up that staircase and entering those locked gates,
The new harbor design looks a lot like Velia. +1 to this post, do not change Port Ratt, at least to such a drastic degree. We even had Port Ratt on a loading screen once upon a time

If you listen carefully to the devs at the ball, they said that the new harbor used to be known as port ratt. They arent trashing or removing port ratt. This new port is going to be NE of current port ratt, and current port ratt isnt getting deleted.
Well, some good news for once. I hope what you say is true!

Nampo looks bland as hell. I don't feel any magic from the area like I did with Port Ratt. It just looks like another Velia or Port Epheria. Why would I want to go there?

Someday, those gates will open. It would be so cool to form a crowd and all pass through at the same time!

+1. Something about Nampo being so bland removes the traditional feel I think they were aiming for with Haso. It's not my culture to speak on, but it feels like they stripped "Port Ratt" of its cultural identity in the game.
