But it's a real bummer that you can't dye the Belenois Ship Parts at all, or show/hide them, or use them on a Carrack.

I feel that for 4900 freaking Pearls (seriously guys wtf) this stuff should be added to the items.

Yeah, that's one of my regret buys, because I didn't read it carefully enough. It's nice to have until I make my ship into a carrack, but if I'd realized that it didn't work on a carrack, I wouldn't have bought it - not at close to $50 anyway. The lack of ability to dye it was surprising and disappointing, but since I bought it for the stats, that wasn't the deal breaker. It's the fact that it's effectively only good for a limited time (unless you never bother to upgrade your boat) that makes it a bad purchase to me. I should have read it better, and I bet that a lot of the purchases for it at this point come from people who didn't read it carefully enough.
