Something else came up recently about carnival games that gave me a pretty good idea whats going on with enhancement success and RNG or certain elements in the game. Ever wonder why you cant turn off the guild/party enhancements notifications, and you KNOW that streamers get carried, because PA want you to see that, but they will never show you others failed attempts messages in your game.

Lets say, PA allows 50 PEN items to be enhanced per day, or per week, per server. Once that quota has been met NO ONE will be able to enhance to PEN for the rest of the day/week. No matter how many times you try even with a 70% chance stack you will allways fail, then you try again the next day and succeed first time. I tried to TET a red nose armor FIVE times in a row with a 40% chance stack and ended up with a DUO. To get my Tuvala weapon to PEN I wasted 1000 cron stones. thats like worth $100 if I bought them with pearls.

Some players did a test a year or two ago and tested enhanceing with different stacks at different times and found that if they had succeeded multiple times in a row, then tried to enchant something higher, no matter how many times they trried after X ammount of successes they would allways fail no matter how many times they tried for the rest of that day. Then the next day they tried and succeded multiple times in a row, and then nothing at all for the rest of the day despite the enhancent stacks they had.

My First Tuvala TRI attempt succeeded after 2 attempts (with crons), then the next TET succeded after 4 attempts, then I swapped to a different piece of gear and tried to TET at the same enhancement % cahnce and succeeded after 5 attempts. Still using my remaining crons I succeeded to PEN the main weapon after 6 attempts, The Sub weapon PEN succeded after 1000 crons were used (7/8 attmepts), then my awaken weapon just would not pop PEN after another 1000 Crons, I only hed enough Crons by that stage to do 1 more attempt and said Ill try again tomorrow, which I did, I got some crons from some bosses and the awaken weapon popped on the second attempt.

This applies to every RNG in the game, Item drop chance, enhancement cahnce, boss loot, etc. The % chance you are shown is an illusion. a scam. each player is only allowed to have so many successes every day, or week, and only so many people succeed per server. If you are going to try a PEN attempt, wait untill the next day, and go to a server with a low population, then try to PEN it and let me know the results here.

Seen plenty of BDO streamers (many partnered) advertise about their multi billion silver enhancement stream today!... only to end up with next to nothing. As much as I love to call streamer rng, many people fail to understand 'You can't win it, if you ain't in it!' they are attempting the big risk enhancements, repeatedly. How many pen gold accessory attempts have you made? 

PA you better get these streamer vids taken down asap!! 47 wailing dead god fails? 22 pen tungrad belt fails? Don't you know they are big streamer?!?!

That's a... 240 stack if i'm not mistaken. The game did you a big favor, ez 25fs without losing a stack worth multiple times the item being enhanced.

"...Tuvala" this "...Tuvala" that - Yes, Tuvala can be a pain to enhance just as regular gear. Ignoring the increased chances, the fact is the materials required to enhance and repair Tuvala items are very easy to obtain by actually playing the game a little. Why not grind a little more, do some region quests, run some rift echoes in groups... ya know, play the game a little. Instead of using crons.

Sounds legit, source? Did you know a German playing on the Russian servers calculated enhancing on specific number failstacks proved to have increased chances according to his sample pool - back in 2016? Yo maybe it's the same guy!!

Total welfare game, PA creates the problem and hands out welfare items/silver all the time.  I mean they hand out 530% xp gain scrolls all the time.  That right there should tell you the mechanics of the game are built on all of the negative aspects of human nature to artificailly present a challenge for lack of content.  You have to play the game for what it is, if you try to play it like a FF14 or GW2 game you will be disappointed/frustrated.  I got my first pen last week after playing this game off and on for five years.  I was not excited, the frustrations prior to that (many failed attempts across many characters) made it trivial.  The whole experience is on rails, only one way to get the result and that is through gacha game mechanics that deepen your FOMO to try to get you to open your wallet.  I was excited when I made my first set of ascended gear in GW2, I was excited for my first set of raid gear in WoW.  I don't get that same excitement in BDO.  Not meaning that in a negative way, just BDO is what it is.  I play it until it no longer holds my attention and move on.  I no longer get excited for new zones, they are just reskins of the older grind zones with maybe different stun/cc mechanics.

I agree with OP but you just need to realize you are the customer.   Don't get caught up in debating semantics, if you are not having fun, get your play's worth and move on.  That speaks louder than debating what 100%, 530%, 47% of whatever means in this game.  Five years of playing BDO has taught me that.  This is why PA runs so many 'new player' events and caters to new players because vets soon realize how shallow the end game content is compared to competitors.  So play it until you no longer have fun and move on.  I will play GW2 or FF14 for months, I barely make 30 days in BDO.  Those 30 days sessions are becoming fewer as the years progress.

exactly as you said, fun is subjective, if you aren't having fun then just go play something else

bdo is not your typical western mmo, some people don't like to play a single game for years, and bdo is a game that requires you to play years on a daily basis to get to near the end where other games focus on the players that enjoy playing a game for a few months at most so all content are designed to burn through within short amount of time, just different game for different people.
