so many of us awakening rangers have been holding out for this rework as a last hope for the class to finally escape the shit tier, but it looks like that will never happen

 

every time ranger has gotten buffs, it comes at the expensive of nerfs to other things it has, or in most cases, every other class getting buffs at the same time, but way more. PA has designated ranger as "the fodder class" to be eternally shat on by "the shonen protagonist classes" aka ninja, sage, nova, warrior, and so on.

 

awakening ranger used to be top 5 1v1 and small scale (not the best, just merely very good mind you), then the global combat rework in 2018 happened, giving every class S block, a braindead method to counter any form of ranged cc (one of the few unique things about awakening ranger at the time), then successions came out (giving some classes hugely better 1v1 potential), and then every class was repeatedly buffed, including a fancy new awakening skill while we got the worst new skill and the least relative buffs.

 

now awakening ranger underperforms in every aspect of the game with the highlight being possibly the single worst class for node war size pvp. 1v1 is still the best content for the class, but even there, it is below average. the only reason awak ranger 1v1 looks playable is because all but the most dedicated players of the class/spec rerolled a long time ago. it takes an above average ranger to match an average player of any of the decent 1v1 classes.

 

we have no massive burst potential like many other classes do, which is required to be good in pvp greater than 1v1. good luck full comboing your opponents when they have friends to peel and kill you, while some classes kill in a single skill. we have atrocious mobility, being forced to sit back in super armor and hope people are stupid enough to attack into us, because we lack good forward and even sideways mobility. we have nothing like solar flare. we are extremely squishy with 0 (zero) defensive or hp passives besides 10 dr on dash, so we get splattered for being near any of the previously mentioned "shonen protagonist classes", which makes the whole "sit in super armor and bait their attacks" playstyle very difficult or impossible in the case of pvp with more than 1 opponent.

 

this rework addressed none of these problems, if what is on global labs is accurate to the intent of PA. our damage is still awful, our forward and sideways mobility in-combat was untouched (no, you can't spam dash at people and have it work out), we got no passive buffs to help our tankiness, and our survivability was even nerfed by removing the on-cooldown 2nd iframe from explosive evasive shot, and additionally made it so you can't linger the iframe on the first EES. this has a huge negative effect on our ability to exist near other classes without immediately dying.

 

awakening ranger, an objectively shit class got a mix of medium buffs and nerfs, while warrior, and objectively good class, got meaningful buffs all around. PA has no connection to the current state of class balance..

 

I dont want ranger to be op, just "not shit", which it has been for most of the game's life.

Legitimately have no idea what PA were smoking when they were doing the warrior rework. How can you take a class that is already one of the very best in 1v1 and small scale, because it has things such as:

 

1) one of the very best engages since forever

2) the best passive in the current meta (grab resist ignore)

3) the best class type perk (SA block) as well as the braindead ability to cancel everything, so you can't even make a mistake that can't be instantly corrected unless you're asleep

4) easy and safe to apply aoe slows

5) one of the fastest and most agile, but with zero stamina issues

6) high damage and accuracy

 

and decide that it needs buffs such as

1) even better engages

2) lower grab cd in succession, so you can throw a braindead, unresistable, protected on miss grab attempt every 11 seconds after your tp engage

3) nothing done about SA block because fuck non-grab classes and non-grab engage gameplay, nothing about cancels

4) even more range on easy to hit slows and half the other skills

5) even more mobility so now its faster than all rat classes, while also having all the benefits of bruiser classes

6) EVEN MOAR DAMAGE AND ACCURACY

 

Alright, so other class reworks are coming up and hey, they can get gigabuffed even harder, but wasn't the whole idea with reworks to bring more balance to the older classes? If this continues in the same direction, the reworked classes will powercreep so hard that anything that isn't receiving the same kind of treatment will be just become obsolete, which is all of the new classes and the few unfortunate ones that won't get gigabuffed in the rework. Do we really want this?

They should not have NERFED EES!!! WTH is this bullshit. They need to seriously get slapped! this is a nerf and not a rework. All those changes do not outweigh the nerf of ees. If they want to do that, better give ranger SA with fg, and unlimited stamina and ignore grab resist and ignore 1000 knockdown resist, and 10k hp. Considering the fact that they are popping out more and more and more classes with RANGED grab they are directing nerfing ranger by making it an SA class. They BETTER GIVE SUCCESSION RANGER A RANGED GRAB TOO THEN! FUCK This GAME

LMAO like anyone who saw what they did in their countless "rework", "balance" (call it however you wish, those are just meaningless buzzworlds that PA missuse anyways) attempts?

1, They don't paly with their game.

2, They don't care about the player feedback.

3, They don't understand their own game.

4, They just randomly adjust stuff so they can sell it as a marketing.

 

But surely overbuffing the classes will atleast give them some sense of love I guess, the shitty balance will be even more shitty, but noone cares at this point so?

seems like just a big buff, but a very big buff. idk if this will help. im happy about the ees nerf, so i can play my own old playstyle

Let's hope that they give to Maehwa players a pierce block skill or a way to remove slows or a counter grab, otherwise i will continue having PvP here, instead of BDO :

yea honestly, whats the downside of this class now? and what is its role? it can engage, nuke, diesgage, utility, amazeballs 1v1, now good large fights as well....

 

is every class gonna be 1 man army party buffer now thats good in 1v1 and large? id prefer actual class roles over PA making every class into nova and sage.

But that's what they are planing to do. Otherwise they would've just nerfed the overpreforming ones instead of reworking the ones that don't needed adjustments.

ok then, i hope people will support my class spec becoming really good in 1v1 thenwith alot of options to avoid grab and extra mobility..., when its turn for reboot comes. cya then i guess. ;)
