... boy is the awakening Nova a complete misfire.
Why should I - or anyone - be expected to pay the full 3,400 pearls for a premium outfit for this class when these packages don't come with a unique weapon skin? And yes, I know that Sting technically gets an attire-matching 'gauntlet,' but:
a) it's a freaking glove...
b) it still leaves Sting clashing like hell with practically every costume sold in the store, and...
c) it's just a lazy design cop-out so PA doesn't have to craft weapon models for every new gear set it adds for the class.
And please don't tell me "Well, you see, Sting is magic." So is the Valk's sword that pops out of nowhere (no, it wasn't being stored behind the shield - c'mon. Did it fold up on itself like one of Tony Stark's later suits?); so are half the weapons in the freaking game that aren't modeled as sheathed. To one extent or another, all of our characters are using magic weapons. So to leave Sting stuck in this permanently uglified state where its only possible appearance resembles some half-baked Diablo II drop is not really going to fly (at least as far as I'm concerned).
I might actually play my Nova and, you know, invest money into her if I thought for a second that any of the costumes I purchased wouldn't leave me deeply unsatisfied because there is no matching blade, nor any potential to mix/match those weapons with other sets. But I recognized that frustration landmine months ago, and there she sits - unused; a dead character slot. Pity.
no
They make an enormous income on cronstone purchases. The owerwhelming mayority (85%+) of the outfits bough to be melted, hence it doesn't matter how they look or which class gets it, you get the same amount of cronstones.
And don't worry, they are on their way to "fix" their cOnviNieNcE cronstone sales with the next maintance, that is surely easier than adding decent outfits :)
