I just don't quiet see what it acomplishes. If someone want to beat you down bad, they will declare war. A standard of world pvp. The case where it would actually punish PKing must be like 1% of negative karma player base. I'd imagine the biggest part of negative karma characters would be as result of some mistake or not being aware of karma yet.

Now PvP is big part of BDO. Here is the thing, if you skirmish with players here and there, at some point game goes and say "no you are having to much fun, from now on you lose xp and crystal on dead". Playing PvP - denined. Ofcourse there are plenty of places you can go and not have to deal with karma, but do we really need it at all?

Last point I'd like to make. I was red character many times and never had problem just continue grinding on same spot with little to no disturbance. Worst case scenario I would server swap or logout, another effortless dump making a complete joke of entire karma system.

If you wana some anti PK system more up to date, I'd say you should focus on gear gap between two players fighting. If someone geting slaughtered constantly and there is large gear gap present, there is your PK. The solution, make the slaughtered character untargetable by the opressor for 30 min. Two things happen, stop the PK, and it gives one time to calm and move on with life.

They are testing ways to prevent high geared guilds from deccing on lower geared ones without mutual agreement to the decc.

And project died or only works in Korea. I remember that there was supposed to be a block on the declaration of war for the same guild within 3 days and the cost of the war increasing by 0.5% every 24 hours up to 5% per day. Epic solution against exploiting declarations of war.
