High end pvp is completely unplayable in this game.

I dont know what Pearl abyss is thinking by buffing classes pvp dmg to a point, where a single random skill could rip off 80% of hp or even kill you. 

No matter if you have C20 armors and capped DP, you are still going to be 2 skilled by almost everything, this needs to stop. 

Wonder why capped stats pvp is more successful than anything else? The reason is the damage that is unaccaptable in pvp where stats are not capped. Way back in the days 5 years ago it wasnt that bad, but now you dont even need to grab anyone, heck you cant even grab anyone because it is a death sentence FOR YOU not for the grabbed target. 

DR and DP stats in this game should be buffed at least by 200%, this is ridiculous. 

Pearl abyss initially created a game with renown system where we are being awarded for having high AP with more DR and DP. What turns out is we dont have enough DR anymore, the offensive stats scaling is way above any reasonable levels, therefore we are just being 1 shooted in super armor. They completely ruined the stats scaling, they didnt take away renown system completely, they just removed part of it responsible for defense and kept the bullshit offensive part. 

Do i even need to write about the consequences of this kind of balancing? A lot of classes are straight out useless, because they are slow SA classes that are being blown away. 

Rework the stats system completely.

There is no point to rework anything w/o combat logs. First step to fix game is to show combat logs, DP doesn't work, its don't exist, its just random numbers that work in PVE, in PVP you just have "basic class DP" - and no one can prove me wrong, because there is no combat logs to even burst my crap about DP.

The pvp in general is a joke because of dsync which causes odd interactions and fps = significantly more damage  which should never be a thing in any video game.

Back in the day when most endgame player had around 269-280 ap and 320-330dp it worked pretty well. Sure it was not perfect but most time you had to fullcombo your oponeant. Nowdays with 320+ap and 390dp+ it should be the same..but it isnt. And this is the root of the problem why endgame pvp has become such a fun-free fiesta.

The problem has simply become more and more obvious over the years and that's why more and more players have stopped or stopped playing pvp. Instead of actively fighting this, PA has limited the stats on certain nodes and victories, which of course doesn't make anyone happy, as having a gear advantage has always been part of the drive for grinding and pvp. What the players never wanted, however, is for everyone to almost oneshot everyone else.

Imo, it's less related to stats / DP inefficiency (people who build high end DP builds are still enormously tanky after all) and more related to the overall powercreep in terms of protections, CC, AoE size and damage that was first introduced with Succession Classes, then the new classes, and the reboot. Some classes got a 20% or more buff on overall damage (my own class not excluded), as well as animation speedups, much larger AoEs on some classes' skills etc. It's far more difficult nowadays to avoid damage in the neutral game than it was before due to just how many skills with large AoE classes can use, and how many skills go through or behind FGs as well. There also is a large amount of ranged damage in the game now compared to before, as especially some ranged skills even on Melee classes were made stronger. This increases the pressure in a fight. Additionally, stamina was buffed for a lot of classes, so many classes can stay in fights longer and keep up the pursuit of the target for a longer time, which also means that resetting fights is harder, and reduces the ability to heal of many classes who need these resets. 

Imo, gear isnt really the issue in most cases. The powercreep and everything else that we got with sucession / reboot is what really changed the PvP environment again, in the way that now we are almost back to pre-CC changes times, with far too many protections and CCs in the game.

You are deleted faster on a 280AP vs 330 DP, than in a 309 vs 401 (proper) build, tho that is also heavily class dependant.

AP scale poorly at high brackets. The reason why the damage ended up so high is due PA's failure rework, which fixed no issue, but buffed the damage even more for no reason.

What baffles me the most is that while PA wants PvP to be an integral part of the BDO experience, they have become quite bad at designing it. Like really. Besides the usual issues which are regulary mentionned (FPS = DPS, desyncs, inability to balance the game, bloated base systems and combat core that don't function properly with the last years of power creep), what strikes me the most is their inability to produce good level design for PvP.

For example, how can you seriously say that PvP is an important part of your game when you decide to use a map like Valencia to make it a battleground, without even removing any asset and while your engine isn't able to manage wall transparencies ?

How can you have esport pretentions with Arena of Solare when the first thing you do is cluttering your maps with holes (makes funny rage vids ...), useless decorative pools that put your character in swim mode or stupid buffs and mechanics ?

They are SSOOOO bad at level design when it comes to PvP, and their engine clearly doesn't help.

Honestly I think BDO I'd probably a better experience on console because everyone's systems are the same and fps is capped that same. So you don't have any I have higher fos scenarios. Which just eliminating that is huge. Honestly what PA needs to do is cap the fps to 120  and if you try and remove it bann people. Fps being higher= dps and skill speed should never be a thing in a video game. The fact PA puts so much into pvp but doesn't fix this terrible design flaw is rediculous.until it is fixed there will never be a good PVP.

Have any of you ever played the game at the capped 60 it comes with without unlocking fps? Damage feels for more fair  at all gear levels.

Lack of experience, and incompetence yeah. They are totally clueles sadly. But on the otherhand they neither play with their own game nor care about feedback.

They fix this in crimson desert, but in BDO the Arena of Solare is the last hope for PVP content that is actually enjoyable, IMO I think like the first response, we need battle logs to even consider changes, IDK about the coding for them though.
