Agreed. Not to mention at least having the chance for a comback mid fight could help account for issues of desync and latency differences whereas right now its just 1 CC and dead most of the time. A little more eb and flow in fights would be way more interesting. There was actually a time when this was the case. Also, you know...it would make gaining DP at endgame *actually* feel rewarding?
If we go to a meta where we need to do multiple combos to kill people fast classes will just run when they get low hp and you won't ever be able to kill them, while low movement classes will have nothing they can do except accepting death.
Have you ever fought a double Cadry valk? Or a another tanky dr class with a similar build? There's a really high probability you can't onecombo that.

imagine catching some classes if u play slow immobile clas with bad cc potential to begin with
alto, that being said, theres defo too much damage in the game, bruisers with damage, tanks with damage, assassins with damage.....

That also means that you heal up in the meantime while waiting for them to re engage. Still more interesting that 1 shot meta.

Good, thats the point. Somewhat tankier builds should be viable (they literally used to be and there was more build diversity and slightly less one shot meta as a result of it.) There was actually the potential to make a comeback during a fight.

I'm a 400 DP Valkyrie, which is supposed to be a tank-style class, and yet I get 1-2 shot, especially in RBF, and especially against Ranger.

You forgot ranged classes doing absurd damage, from range.

problem is it works on SOME classes.
while valk with cadry and engame gear can still safetly put people away, some other classes cant and wont TANK stuff from otehrs wit it either.
now, im not against people going tankier route ... the problem lies in the fact that some still retain their kill potential whole doing so. the tradeoff doesnt seem to be happening there, some classes just get both.
