Why do PA setup the regions for Australian's to play the NA/EU region, when latency is objectively better to the Singapore servers?
I'm on the East Coast of Australia, near Brisbane and my latency on the SEA servers in Sinagpore sits at about 100, while to BDO NA is sits on around 170 - 180.
In my opinion it doesn't make sense, as the game performance experience is MUCH better playing on the SEA server.
I understand that there is the euro-centric cultural idea that likely informs PA's decicions (I'm multi-cultural and tri-lingual btw); but I think they'd get more players interested & involved approaching this from a game performance perspective.
Note that I bought an additional/separate account to play on SEA. It is not connected to my NA account in any way.
I think PA are worried OCE have played longer and that we could unbalance the pvp side of things on SEA, or other imbalances could occur
Edit: With the changing of servers to Central US they gotta put us either on SEA or give OCE their own servers :/
HOw did you play is SEA right now? im in AUS wanting to be in SEA too. pls do share
Just download SEA client an install it from what I remember, it wasnt IP block from what i remember, maybe they changed it idk

Australians and other Oceania players cannot download and install from SEA servers unless they use a VPN and pretend they live elsewhere. Oceania has always been Region Locked to NA/ EU.
Used to be, when Kakao was still servicing BDO in NAEU. Nowadays, it shouldnt be an issue.
