Carrack stuck when trying to leave a dock.

 Trying to leave dock gets you stuck in a situation where you cannot go anywhere, it's hard to get off your wheel, and you can't do any actions but studder step until you either swap channels, esc->escape, or character select.

It can be done while powering out of the dock, or even from slowly pulling out of the dock.

Reproduced on average 1 in 7-8 times.  Sometimes can do it twice in a row.  Seems random.

When swapping to a character who was logged out on a boat, the boat doesn't float on top of the waves.  The boat can and does become submerged underwater making the normal impeding the normal functions of the boat.  Such as cannons will fire, but when below the water line they explode as soon as fired and go no where.  Wasting cannonballs.  Also the wave submerge the boat making ship repair near impossible.

Reproduced 5 out of 5 times when switching to alt parked at Vell.

that second bug specifically is very annoying and has gotten worse recently. i have a boat parked out at vell and trying to repair that since a few patches ago has been a pain

On Galleas same issue with going out of the dock, around 1 in 4 tries. Using autopathing is like 90% failure to leave the dock and the boat gets stuck. The only way to unstuck is let go of the wheel. The boat is then teleported a bit and has a higher chance to leave if it's done slowly and manually - going with W+space, breezy sail or autopathing will make it stuck again. Sometimes it doesn't unstuck at all, keeps teleporting around a bit but won't move - you gotta either reset it via wharf manager or go into the sea with the character and RMB teleport the ship out of wharf.

Very annoying, very time consuming, destroying the game flow.

i was told that it was only me that this happen to many months ago and time you get on your ship and it rase up out of the water your not going anywhere. i sent a video of it to them and they never did anything aboout it.

I agree, they should really look into fixing various boat mechanics. For now though, you can get off your boat and whistle it. It will teleport to where you are swimming (like a horse) and you can resume your boating adventures. I don't remember if it's left mouse click or right mouse click on the boat wheel icon. One of them teleports you to the steering wheel as long as you're near the boat and the other button summons your boat to where you are.

whistling doesn't help with at least the first bug and im p sure the second one as well. the first bug you basically can't get off the boat without cc/char select similar to the bug where sometimes you try to get on a horse and your character bugs out and you just get try again messages over and over, while I'm pretty sure that it just doesn't do anything for the serving big since it's related to weird super high waves

You can only avoid the Vell bug by being on your boat before the 30 minute warning, it is very annoying!

I've been experiencing the first bug for years. You can Esc > esc and get back onto the docks but it's still a hassle. Oddly, there are wharfs where I experience this more often than others... Port Ratt is the worst with it while Illiya Island I have never once had the bug.

 I have reported this issue MANY times  and was told to delete file, reload files, reload client and NONE worked.  Its frustrating when they just dont get it. I have reported this issue for more than a year and each week look to see if they corrected the issue BUT end up disappointed on a weekly basis.   Whats even worse as when you try to release the wheel and it keeps saying try again.  Really annoying!

I just got Carrack today and one of the first things I experienced was getting stuck at Ratt. Couldn't get off the wheel, cause "please try again". I hit escape, get on the ship - same thing. Only after I switched channels and there was some ship there already, the game placed my ship further from the wharf and I was able to leave. But this is insane, at least on Galleas I could leave my ship, but Carrack becomes a prison with that bug.

I submitted a ticket today and informed of that thread as a proof that it's not a problem on my side, I wonder what will be the response.
