Crystal Presents - why only five presents familywide for all characters? (crystal revamp)

I just took a look at the material shown so far for the new crystal present UI. It is supposed to be family-wide and there are only five presents? I use way more crystal cominations on my characters (and I have a lot more than five characters). Right now I have access to as many "presents"/crystal setups as many characters I have. Now I get only five. Crystals still break. Cannot be freely removed. Only the gear type binding is gone. Seems like a disimprovement to me.
Why not add a sixth present which is character specific?
Let's say I make a new character - like almost every single season - and want to try out a different crystal setup and already use those 5 familywide presents for other characters. Now what? Do I have to buy removal tools from Pearlstore en masse?
This new System is either not thought through well or PA wants to squeeze our wallets.

99.5% of the palyers don't need even the 5 presets. While in your terms it's a downgrade you are an extreme minority here.

do you have to put a set of crystal on a new toon that might get kill easy will you lose the crystal?

Crystals equipped on all character equipment
- All crystals will be moved to the Central Market Warehouse. In case of Crystals which are non-marketable, the crystals will be moved to your Heidel Storage.
- This will apply to all crystals equipped on to gear prior to the January 4, 2023 (Wed) maintenance.
so does this mean if we want to keep the crystal we have we have to remove them and place them in are storage

im 689 gs and i need only 1 PVE crystal setup, BUT with the new thing, I will have a tanky PVE set and glass cannon, maybe a 3rd or 4th with resistance.
And that's at least 3 more sets than i had for over couple years lol.
The update is good, with time they will increase it I'm sure.

As far as I understand it, this will happen automatically during the 4th of January maintenance.
