Title: Get rid of the ocean waves until it can be fixed with boats sinking in the water

Suggestion/Comments: This has been a bug/desync problem for the longest time. I think about when current was added to the water. Those of us without big boats like carracks or what not constantly have the issue of being underwater. This is not something new. I understand ocean content is not a priority right now. However, it is not hard to get rid of the waves as a temporary fix. Make the water flat so we can repair/mount/ and shoot at vell without smashing water!

Yeah it doesn't add anything to the game excep desync and makes it look bad.

I don't what changed in the past year or however long it's been now, but it's really annoying. We used to be able to stand on ships without the water below somehow swallowing us through the boat (outside of the desync issues that have existed forever). It's like- You're on the boat? No you're in the water now. Now you're on the boat? No you're in the water!! 😬

That has nothing to do with the waves but is a z-axis issue. Sometimes when switching character your boat spawns on the wrong z-axis value inside a certain square of the grid. As soo as you leave the square where your boat spawned with a wrong z-axis value it realigns itself correctly.

Yeah I only get the issue when I had swapped to my Vell alt. So I was putting 2 and 2 together.

Has nothing to do with the waves, except that the waves are what is making us leave the square and realign, no? I think that may be why you got some downvotes, but your post is informative nonetheless. Either way I realllly hope they fix this issue.

there is no waves in the game. The ocean is flat.
Change your graphics and see that your ship never moves up and down. Except when it desyncs and tries to find it's position.

Change my graphics to what? I'm not really understanding, but I'll take your word for it. Have you made any posts about it? I'll gladly bump the post in support if so. This issue didn't exist until like 1-1.5 years ago it seems like, it's frustrating that it has existed for this long when it wasn't an issue before (at least, not even close to this extent).
