It's like 5-6 per alliance on a 75 man, idk how you make that into 40%. There's normally more valks, casters and zerks than maegus.

Idk, all I see is musas and draks still performing on par with maegus in terms of killcount, rangers and archers still doing ok - maybe they don't automatically topfrag just by existing anymore, what a tragedy. Some guilds have sorcs or dks that pull big numbers. I won't mention classes with different roles like valks, zerks, casters because you can't really compare, but I don't see guilds in a hurry to exchange their mainraids for maegu blobs, so the value is still there.
If you consider any of the above ok, then so is maegu.
(Personally I think the amount of ranged damage and cc in the game is over the top atm, but that applies to all ranged classes)
