I don't understand why they would make capped PvE content that makes gear mostly meaningless, in a game where most of the player motivators to play are based on chasing better gear. Not to mention chasing better gear is where they make most of their money, from melting pearl outfits. 

Your stats will become more and more important as you rise the difficulty level of these boss rushes.

That's BS, and a clear indicator that the devs not even playing with their own game.

Just imagine, if 20% will going to be important, then what about picking a FOTM class instead of a mid tier one? Surely if you pick a class that deals 100% more damage (as such cases do exits currently), then that will not going to have significantly more impact that having like 20 more AP at hardcap?

And then we didn't even talked about using green and other joke items to exploit their buggy mess of a cap system.

At endgame gear you have 900+ pve ap. The elemental damage was shown to be 50 damage per point investment. 10 points max for the 3 different elements. You can't max every element. If you have only 10 points to distribute it would be 4 3 3 or in elemental damage 200 150 150. The 80-20 split means elemental damage is worth 4x as much as your normal pve ap. So the elemental damage will be worth 800 600 600 regular pve ap. With your pics so being 900+ it means more than half your damage will still be your normal gear (under the assumption you will only have 10 elemental damage points).

Gear might not matter much there but at least it won't be useless.

I assume it is because they were ordered to make the content accessible to new players.  Old players will complain but do the content anyways for the rewards, if the rewards are good enough. 

Not sure what all there is. Gloves and some gems for unique gem slots I think? I expect Ill be doing it.

Shoi outfit is amazing. Like, not amazing enough that I would spend $80 on a limited time pack so I can have one outfit for one Shoi. Eat a bag of ***** if you do that hill of ocassional frost stuff again.

But if you decide you want people to actually buy and wear them, would be cool to have an option to toggle off the Mr Krabs eyes on the hat. Use visor toggle function?

That's what we have for now, I don't know what your basis is to say "that's BS" and what you're saying has nothing to do with the gear cap making "gear mostly meaningless" and the answer I was giving to Jurg.

And the whole "fotm" reasoning is getting old. Classes are not performing equally? Big news. But unrelated to gear caps themselves. 

The fotm was not for the caps, but for the fact that the clueless devs thinks that 20% gear will going to matter at higher tiers and not the class you picked...

every1 will do it, thats not the question. I just wonder why veterans HAVE to suffer, why cant they just make is accessable to newplayers but veterans can rush through since its timegated anyways. I just dont see the point.

This new island is definitely the last nail in bdo's coffin.

PA still won't understand that capped gear content in a game like bdo has no right to exist because we have too much differences between classes!!!

Again it will turn out that, for example, a striker will kill these bosses without any problems and an archer or wizard will not be able to kill them.

Same problem with elvia kzarka and pit of undying: s. unplayable content for my class.
