Title: Bring back the old whale and khalk spawn system.
Family Name:
?

Region (NA/EU): ?

Suggestion/Comments: Current system after the changes is absurd and totally unfriendly to players. I don't know what world PA lives in, but here (in the West) hunting for these bosses enjoys negligible interest, and after the changes it's almost nil. The reason is, of course, simple: since these bosses give us almost zero profit compared to other activities in the game, pool of volunteers is very small. Gathering even a few people at a random boss spawn time, and the fact that they despawn after an hour, makes no one just want to abandon the current activity and hunt for one or maybe 2-3 bosses.
In the old system, you could more or less predict when a whale would appear, and khalk never disappeared. Thanks to this, players could organize a "hunt train" much more conveniently, thanks to which it was possible to hunt up to 10 whales at a time and even 20-30 khalks. It made sense and gave profit (small but reasonable).
Add to that the 10 minute channel change wait time and the fact that these bosses currently spawn in much less quantity, hunting them down is utterly repulsive.
Conclusion: old system should be restored or the current one modified.
In my opinion, changes should be made:
- these bosses should never be despawned
- after killing them, they should respawn within a maximum of 1-2 hours so that they are always available to players
- should appear on all channels, not just a random few.

I totally agree on the point that it is not player friendly how it is right now. But the interest in it has always been rather small which is not a negative point in my opinion. since having too many people wanting to do it creates other problems.
Now you have to differentiate between blue whales and fugitive khalks.

Whales: Profit is fine, main problem is people undercutting/min-listing. You can still hunt 10 or even more whales with the current system and is done so on EU on a daily basis if the spawn time is not completely bad. But it requires alot of organizing by a few dedicated people. Not having the tools ingame which are needed to do so is a problem, you basically have to be on the whale hunting discord to join the action.

Khalks: Most people just do them for completing the hunting quests or to get the titles. Khalk specific loot is mostly useless except from Khalk's Skin which is needed for the Elixir. Now the amount of Khalks you can hunt is way lower than before and the whole thing is a complete mess for multiple reasons. Since it is soloable it requires less organisation but also creates the problem that many solo hunters and very limited spawns lower the numbers even more.

So why did they implement respawns for whales but not for Khalks?

I'm not sure yet if no despawns at all would be good or bad
Respawning them too frequently would most likely destroy the market value of items and lower your profit and the size of hunting groups. (every 12 hours would be okay I think)
Having them spawn on all channels would be enough to give it a nice boost in availability

Since it is soloable

Khalk solo is bad, and is a waste of time.

Respawning them too frequently would most likely destroy the market value

1. Market in bdo does not exist anyway.

2. Demand for perfumes is always huge.

3. PA is constantly destroying market with various events in which tens of thousands of whale potions, perfumes, or hundreds or thousands of other items including boss gear and accessories (including manos) are added to the game.

4. You can always lower the amount of materials from these bosses. But I would like to remind you that PA even increased this amount precisely because almost no one is interested in these bosses.

On the other hand, there are hundreds of thousands of preorders for some items because production of these items (including potions and food) is completely unprofitable. And these are the materials that should be added to the drop list in these bosses.

Since making these changes I have only hunted Khalk once and we have killed.... 3. And I didn't even go whale once because I already have 4 molars and I only care about 2 more Khalk claws and 5-6 wings for the title. And as soon as I get them, both of these bosses cease to exist for me forever.

I'm guessing you play on EU because in NA the whale hunts are super streamlined (thanks to a few dedicated drivers) and on a good day there's upwards of 25 people on the train and we get 10+ whales done easily. Even with prices not being capped, the hunts on NA are about 1.5bil per train which works out to about 1bil an hour.

Guess it comes down to coordination, but whale hunting is definitely profitable in its current state.

Khalk system is very bad, there is zero reasons for Khalks to despawn, they useless anyway, only reason ppl kill them for "fun" there is no point making it timed content.

Whale system is fine. on EU active hunters moved away from public discord for various reasons.

Yes, I really appreciate the work those whale leaders are doing on NA. The Whales hunts we well organised and enjoyable, not to mention the rewards are great. And the hunt itself doesn't drag on for hours like it could in the past, it has a defined time. Personally, I much prefer it now compared to how it was previously.
