June 2nd Global Lab Changes to Awakening Witch's Flow: Voltaic Tett is accidentally a 8,2%+ Damage Nerf!

Comment: Upon closer inspection of the changes given on the June 2nd 2023 Global Lab changes applied to her Pet Flow skills, it seems to me that two changes that were slipped in are actually significant numerical damage nerf when considered in realistic game scenario. In the current given changes:

When Special Attack Evasion rate of 30% is considered along with basic critical chance buffs (Respectively 38% Crit Chance and 58% Crit Chance from 20% addons for Voltaic/ 30% addons + 10% buff for Yoke of Ordeal Gorr Roll, +5 Crit Stat, ) and the observable fact that Special Attack Damage modifiers such as Critical Damage boosts from buffs and equipment does not apply to the Pet Damage, it becomes apparent that both of the proposed "buffs" in the Global Lab are actually damage nerfs.

Flow: Voltaic Tett damage after the application of the given changes will have an approximate damage reduction of 8,2% from the live version.  PVP Damage remained the same despite the 2.0 crit modifier lock on pet damage. PLEASE CHECK THE EDIT DOWN BELOW. APOLOGIES FOR THE SLIGHT MATHEMATICAL SLIP UP! T_T 

Flow: Gorr Roll damage after the application of the given changes will have an approximate damage reduction of 1.1% from the live version.

Damage calculation equations used were as such:
Damage = Skill tooptip damage% * (1-Critical Chance) * (1-Special Evasion chance)* (Critical Damage Modifier of 2.0) + (Skill tooltip damage% * (1- (1-Critical Chance) * (1- Special Evasion Chance))

Damage After would then be substracted to Damage Before. The damage difference would then be divided by the Damage Before to indicate the Damage% increase or reduction.


EDIT:  IT WAS POINTED OUT TO ME BY A KIND SOUL THAT A SMALL MATHEMATICAL ERROR SLIPPED IN THE CALCULATIONS. AS SUCH, THE FEEDBACK GIVEN IS THOROUGHLY INVALID FOR THE VOLTAIC PULSE FLOW. THERE ARE NO PVP DAMAGE REDUCTIONS WHEN THE 2.0 CRITICAL STRIKE DAMAGE FROM PET IS CONSIDERED. WHICH MEANS THAT PEARL ABYSS IS AWARE OF THE BUG AFFECTING SPECIAL ATTACK DAMAGE FOR PETS. I APOLOGIZE FOR THE TROUBLES.

I tried pointing this out earlier, but everyone seemed to think the small crit buff would negate the loss.

It should also be noted that in addition to these damage nerfs, moving elementalization from s+space to s+e has removed protection from poison/lava pool when casting while walking backwards as you will no longer beable to hold s and cast the skill at the same time.

A better solution would be moving elementalization to s+q, which is an unused keybind that does not conflict with any other skills

Who on earth thinks AWAKEN mage needs more PvE damage than PvP damage? Why would they add reduction rate AT ALL.. the class is suffering and little extra pvp dmg won't rise it even one step higher in the PvP class-eat-class-totem. And the elementalization change.. WTF...all you do is break our muscle-memory in order to add archmage skill, how about you just design the new skill better?!

Talking of archmage TP, from how this other shit seems designed (like how elementalization was when first introduced, etc), I would not be surprised if that 90 sec cooldown debuff on skill would also stop you from using normal teleport (or ulti) somehow. Not to mention ridiculous slow animation in which time most classes can move that same distance with their modern mobility skills.. right now Pearl Abyss's mage changes make them as good listeners of their playerbase as EA (queue some Hall&Oates):

@Voxous completely agree. The Elementalization change deserves it's own separate post since this one is basically closed. I ran to the forums when I learned about this change. Seriously hope they reconsider this because it seems clunky.

It really is a shame the rare occasion awaken caster gets attention it seems haphazard. And it feels like veteran players have no mechanism for input or playtesting outside of going to the forums to beg them to reconsider.

@Bridonna is right about the muscle memory since we've had probably over a year of working this into our rotations. Especially after the cooldown reduction from 15s it has become as bread and butter as Shift + Space for TP. I wasn't aware it was even an issue in the first place.

I am happy to make a new thread when I get a moment unless someone else can
