does it even trigger the thing? I ride a lot manual and never had any problems with holding W for a long time for it.
Do you press other keys from time to time while riding? If yes, thats why it doesn't trigger.
eg. if you hold down w or shift and only press f sometimes, pressing f resets the continous key timer.
Or like i do, I hold down shift+f and only press w from time to time to reset the timer.

Doesn't work like that with a fishing boat...
or a cog.. you literally have to hold shift + W the whole time you ride because you can't auto-breezy with a cog ...
