- AFMF adds frame generation technology to boost FPS outside of the game’s engine. To see the resulting FPS, use the AMD Software Performance Metrics Overlay. Support for third-party performance monitoring tools is not available at this moment.

yes, I know but this is the issue the AMD Software Performance Metrics Overlay does not work in BDO for me... Just showing N/A
Just watched a recommend review by hardware unboxed on the AMD frame generation.
In short the quality is good, it seems to be more performance efficient than the Nvidia frame gen.
Downside is an issue with latency which basically almost negates the profit of the generated additional frames. Plus, with adaptive sync or with no vsync there are frame pacing issues.
Bottom line is that in the current state AMD frame generation tech is only recommendable for very specific use cases where you have already high base fps and a fixed monitor refresh you want to achieve. BDO with its high fluctuation in FPS currently seems not like the best title for it to me.

I'm unsure what your issue is, maybe its conflicting software? I don't know but it works just fine for me.
AMD has released a new update for AFMF (Amd fluid motion frames). The update includes:
- We have added initial support for HDR to expand the AFMF gaming experience.
- After monitoring user experience feedback, AFMF can now be globally enabled on all DirectX® 11 and 12 titles.
- Users may use the per-app settings to individually disable or enable AFMF.
- Improvements to frame pacing have been made, resulting in an overall smoother gameplay experience and improved image quality.
I've been testing it and its even better. And for the user who was concerned that HDR didn't work with AFMF, now it does. So you should be happy. And to the other user who couldn't get the UI to work. I found a solution that worked for me. In the Adrenaline Disable SAM (Smart Access Memory) and re-enable it. Doing that caused the overlay to reappear for me.
this wont make your char be faster like "real" fps :)
I am not so sure if this software is useful for BDO as stated by WhySoSeeryus, as i think the 'invented' fps do not have effect on the in-game animations.
I tried it on my 6700XT and the BDO fps display and AMD overlay fps display dont match, AMD showed me 700fps while BDO was showing me 350fps. Without Fluid Motion Frames, im able to reach 500-600 fps in the same situation, shown on both BDO and AMD overlay. The benchmark i did is what i usually do to get most fps, going into lower config on Battle Arena.
Maybe in the future this technology improves but on this beta drivers it doesnt seem to be working atleast on my case, i think FSR 3 or 3.5 can be a better solution if their frame generation works with BDO fps and dont 'fake' them like it seems FMF does.

Only the AMD overlay can display frame gen, in game engines currently can not nor third party fps displays. Thats why the overlay showed you having 700fps and BDO showed 350fps. To quote:

Ok so i got it working however here's a summary of my experience:
Issues:
Firstly lots of stutter of my PC overall (i'm not sure what's causing this). Games are unplayable.
Have to play in SDR mode (huge difference as I have a high end OLED Monitor normally playing on HDR). Quality looks significantly worse.
Good points:
FPS literally doubled. From 120ish to around 260FPS which is amazing.
If they can fix the HDR and stuttering issues this update would be insane
how did you manage it to work im getting the same " incompatible with the game's display mode"

Incompatible with game Api, please run this game on directx 11 or 12.....how do I do this?
