Almost all of the modern OWPvP survival genre games can be better replacement for BDO. The reason why most BDO players hate survival genre games, is because they can not leavage their luck or no-life status to get ahead. In most modern openworld Survival genre games a person with a wooden bow can dunk a super geared skillet. And that is what most of the current BDO playerbase hate, Skill-based Openworld PvP.

I'd expect the MMORPG currently as to go the way of the dinosaurs. Either MMOs will have to give the masses what they want. Or they will end up like New World and BDO, devoid of active human players.

Fearlessme you do know New World is doing fine rn. Actually better than bdo as they have a more competent ceo unlike a certian other mmo... Which the other mmo was doing better before gvg changes and crons changes which both are terrible changes.

Also i use to play bdo an survivals they arent even close in simularities.. one has melee combat(close quarters combat)with mid range and an from fill range an a cc system the other is full range outside of the single player variants an no cc system. You havent changed at all since the old forums when it comes to acting like two completely different identity games are the same sheesh.

BDO is not OWPvP survival game. BDO is a typical MMO, and in a typical mmo there is NO open pvp because it sells poorly.

I would like to remind you that it was the creators of New World who said that open pvp is bad and has nothing to do with pvp, but is simply griefing and harassment of other players who are not interested in pvp.
If Amazon paid more attention to its game, New World would be a hit. Unfortunately, bugs/glitches and a very bad system of permanently assigning a player to a channel, as well as details such as the lack of mounts or mini maps, completely killed this game. Let me also remind you that at launch it had over 1 million players. No mmo game has had such an opening for years. And we are talking about real players because it is only on Steam so steam charts represent 100% of the real population.

Yet another PK crybaby who just wants to kill players less geared then them without repercussions. You can still flag up. You can still kill afk, noobs, and lifeskillers. You just can't do it without penalties. I somewhat agree that some of the penalties are too stiff ...like family wide karma. But lets adjust the penalties, not get rid of them again. I can confidently assert that all the known PKs in NA who have been slautering people at Rawr-Rawr and at world bosses still do it. It never phased them, they just take their hits and keep playing the way they want to.

Sorry you feel that way.  while I agree that they could have taken less drastic measures, there is still plenty of pvp to be had.  Find other guilds who enjoy gvg.  I still get pk'd plenty.  No big deal  It's part of the fun....

I'm on the most populated NA East server in New World Mammama. I reinstalled New World to check it out. I spent 2 hours trying to get a Expedition(Dungeon) group before logging off at 10pm Eastern time. New World major Exapansion is equalvalent to what BDO, GW2, ESO, and FFXIV would consider a free update. New World has a skeleton crew amount of suppport at best. 

No one wants dungeons anymore because no one wants to play with randoms when content is usually very difficult.
In BDO you also have pseudo dungeons: Atoraxxion. Content dead since launch. PA finally released pseudo solo versions but why play them more than once for the story if they offer no rewards.
In a normal mmo you should wait max 5 minutes for such Atoraxxion and complete it without any problems with a group of randoms. But no, here you have to use Discord and show your items on ss, or no one will invite you to the party. Well... content like this must be dead.

Times change, people change, mmo games evolve into solo games (because nowhere does it say that in mmo games you have to have coop or party). Interaction with other players only during boss fights is fully sufficient.
