Active fishing has almost disappeared.
I propose increasing the price of fish from seagull spots(yellow grade fish), so small boats get a utility and players can choose another activity to occupy their active time besides Hunting and Gathering.
The scenery on the sea, driving the boat, fishing, everything is a very good way to relax and would be a plus in bringing beginners and eager players to new activities in mmo games. The fact that we have the possibility to navigate is a very big plus for this game, I propose to use this.
We can increase the price of fish from the respective spots so that it is up to date with the other activities from which you can make money. We can give a utility to fishing equipment, different from afk fishing.
Someone recently proposed having red / prize fish appear in hotspots. Not sure how that would work, but tha could have a similar effect.
I agree with this proposal, I like sea fishing but I don't make money and it's a waste of time
That's the reason i made a faster boat, to find this kind of spots. But when i realise, it is not worth the money, i went back to other lifeskills, so it will be a nice thing to buff active fishing.

We can even go further with this suggestion and the further u go in the sea to find these hotspots the higher the price can be or increased chances to get rare fish.
100% that would be an amazing change, at the moment other than afk fishing or maby sometimes active fishing during events, fishing is not really a decent thing to do ingame in terms of income.

i fully agree with the suggestion. If i may, i would suggest a few more specific proposals to improve fishing in terms of silver/h and qol changes:
- allow the same type of fish to be stacked in the inventory. Fish should be stackable in the inventory to allow adventurers to fish longer and gather larger quantities of Fish. This will improve trading the fish significantly and remove the frustration of having to go back to town when active fishing. Expiration time can remain the same (24h) based of starting date/hour of the first fish caught in the stack ;
- increase the trade-in price for fish at trade vendors as well as distance bonus %. Combined with the ability to stack fish in inventory will allow adventurers to go on fishing trips to other far-away cities and trade their fish in to get a meaningful amount of money.
- nowadays fishing mastery is pretty uselless. I would suggest increasing fish value based on mastery when trading it to npc or increasing the chance of cathing rare yellow/orange fish;
- increase the supply of Triple-Float Fishing Rod by implementing random quests while fishing (similar to cooking/alchemy quests).
