Hopefully you can play as other races in Chrono Odyssey, whenever that comes out. Throne and Liberty have no plans to add playble Dwarves and Elves (even though you can interact with them in-game). Most games these days seem to be going the 'Humans Only' route. Which is a shame.

Agreed, but hope is that if - as often - everyone in the industry copy pastas what seems to be the current hype meta that sooner or later leaves room for that one heavily hyped release that surprisingly dares to do things a little different. :O

The earlier of the two titles you mention has playable elves and looks promising but one needs to be vary of what the company does due to their track record of releases till the day. Can be of course that they want to go balls mode and finally release a real game... 

Yeah more than likely we're stuck with BDO lol. Well atleast you can make characters look like elves if you want to. Just a shame for people who wanted to play a dwarven race. They're already in the game. It'd be nice if a game came out that had the sandbox elements and graphics of BDO along with the character creation and action combat. But with no race or gender restriction. Plenty of human, elf, and dwarf options of both genders. They wouldn't have to get all crazy with beast races. Just the basic fantasy ones.

Man, the Witcher would make for an epic mmorpg. Have something that takes place in the Witcher universe. There's plenty of different races and really deep lore to play around with. You'd have fantasy elements and even political intrigue. Could have various factions easily. Brotherhood of Sorcerers and Witchers obviously. Then there's different schools of witchers. Different kingdoms. Several kinds of monsters to fight and even interact with. There's much they could do.

Can you believe that there are people who couldn't care less about those tiny details in a video game and are really just happy they get to have some fun with a new class? YEAH I know... mindblowing.

I agree completely. Tired of getting s****. Constantly putting female ancient "Warriors" into our face.

There need to be at least 10 men's classes before another female been needed.

The worst thing is that people have been asking for a new male class or more races for so long and they don't give a damn and still make money mainly by selling panties for the new female class. The latest changes in node wars etc shows how much they "care" about the game itself and how they know nothing about it.

Wow, we were talking about how she's yet another human female. How the trailer is 'not great' to put it kindly. Trailers are supposed to get you excited for what's to come, that trailer was painful. If it worked for you, bravo. You're the type of person Pearl Abyss caters to. And lastly how she's not original what so ever. She's a mix of what we already have. Sage+Guardian=Scholar. But enjoy your 'new' class. At least until the nerfs come in and they release the next one.

I know this is diverting a little from the yet-another-human-female-topic, but I want to address this:

Renaissance alchemists were rudimentary chemists, until Antoine Lavoisier discovered oxygen and eastablished the rubrics for modern chemistry (thanks be to God).  They didn't know much about what they were doing, but they most certainly didn't use magical-girl style hammers to hit lead or other metals to turn them into gold.  That's what Rings of Power elven "Master Blacksmiths" do.  Amazon and PA do not put much research into anything anymore (don't know if Amazon ever did....).  So, they're doing a magical-girl fantasy fo Scholar, and for me, I wish it was historical, rather than fantasy.  But still, this is a fantasy game, and I hope people have fun with the Scholar.  Mabye she will be fun to play.  But, she's not a Renaissance Alchemist.  And they certainly didn't wear hot-pants.

And back to the topic at hand: tiny details?  They are the props for major details.  If you fail on the small things, you can't build an immersive world.
