There's people who are sick of them releasing mudane human classes. Also, typically when they do release a 'new' class, not only is it another boring human it's also FEMALE. That's the MAIN reason people are upset. The other reason is, she's just a mashup of what we already have. Not really that unique. They didn't put much thought or effort into her. Also, Scholar didn't bring TONS of players into the game. They bring a slight influx of players whenever they release a 'new' class. But like always the kids will get bored with their 'shiny new toy' and before long it will get shelved along with all the others until the next 'new toy.' So it goes.

They've also stated before at some point that they were thinking of adding more fantasy races such as; DWARVES, Rhutums, and I think Fadus were even mentioned. Then this class comes out that was clearly written with a dwarf in mind and is just a cutesy human girl. It's insulting. Would be nice to have more variety. 

This character is AWESOME! And, I would rather stare at the back of a woman than stare at the back of a hairy man for 10 hours a day. 

If you don't like the character, just don't play it.

It's a construct bro, it's not real. You do realize that them female made avatars buts and vaginas aren't real, right? I mean I played a Shai as a main but I was not looking at her backside while playing. Matter of fact the only reason I typically play a female in this game is because the developers have not given me a choice ( I would play a male DK or male tamer as a main in a heart beat). Again, while there are people that play females to look at their ass for 10 hours a day there are a lot more people in this game that don't do this ( I make characters to represent me as a heroic figure so I don't like my characters looking like only Fans models with a sword).

easy enough for you to say, you got 18 waifus to choose from. for those of us who do not wish to play as a female char for various reason we do not have that luxury. There are only 8 males classes opposed to 18 females.  I have tried all males classes but after 6 years of playing the game got bored of them all. Been waiting 2.5 years for a new class to try out and rn we are still waiting for one, even tho during previous balls PA promised a new male class was coming up. Then they do a 180 and dump scholar on us who so far seems rushed,unfinished and is a mix of classes that already exist. 

In case of a dwarf u can simply hide the "hairy" part by slapping a outfit on him that hides the head and arms.  in case of a female class i cannot hide:
- running into combat wearing high heels
- sounding like a onlyfans employee even with voice set to lowest possible
- cannot hide all parts of her body jiggling in combat, when she is supposed to wear full plate armor

its not at all appealing and kills any immersion to even try out the class.

tbh and imho scholar is not very fun, the dwarf idea would atleast be something different and I would much rather play a sword and board type class and not just another female class. I basically made one and parked it at a boss, its very doubtful ill ever seriously use her again for anything other then a boss and an energy dumping alt.

sad really, would have like to see some more orginality in a class like mageu/woosa atleast their skills make them strong classes.
